How to Write the Perfect CV

By | Sep 2, 2009 | 1 Comments | Rating: 0

Before you can get your dream job, you will need to write the perfect CV. The perfect CV should highlight your strengths and prove to a potential employer that you are the perfect person to fill a job opening. The perfect CV will open countless doorways and help you to move up on the career ladder or begin a new career.

Instructions

Step 1.

Target your CV to the job you are applying for. The perfect CV will be directly targeted to the exact qualifications that the job opening you are applying for requires. Don't simply use the same CV for every job application. Instead, take your time to customize your CV for each job opening so that you will have the perfect CV for the job.

Step 2.

Think about what the job description and requirements are. The person who is looking through a pile of CVs to fill a job opening will simply be trying to find the first person who fits all of the necessary qualifications. If you can find a way to make sure that your perfect CV exactly meets those qualifications, you will get the job.

Step 3.

Get rid of any padding. The perfect CV addresses your qualifications and does not leave any room for confusion. The fact that you can juggle might be interesting, but it does not belong on your perfect CV.

Step 4

. Ask a friend to read over your perfect CV. Ask them if they would hire you after reading your perfect CV. Ask them if they would have any questions about your perfect CV.
