Infobarrel have just added the ability to track your articles with Google Analytics. Google Analytics can help you to analyze which websites are bringing you the most traffic and what keywords people are using to find your articles.

Things You Will Need

You need to have an Infobarrel and Google Analytics account. Click here to get your own Infobarrel account. For Google Analytics, you can use the same account as your Gmail or Adsense.

Step 1 Sign into Infobarrel and click on "Manage my account".
Step 2 In the "My Data" section, click on "change" which appears next to "Google Analytics Site ID".
Step 3 Next open up Google Analytics.
Step 4 Click on "Add Site Profile" in the bottom left of your account.
Step 5 Type in: www.infobarrel.com into the place for the website URL and click finish.
Step 6 On the next page, you will get a tracking code, which starts with UA and some numbers.
Step 7 Copy the code (UA and the numbers, for example: UA-343434) and paste into the Google Analytics Site Id space on Infobarrel and hit Enter to save it.
Step 8 Go back to Analytics and click finish and you are done!

It takes at least 24 hours for Analytics to start populating data.

Tips & Warnings

Google Analytics works fairly well, but it is not 100 per cent accurate. Actually, it is very difficult to get website traffic that is 100 per cent accurate, but it can give you a good enough indication at to where your traffic is coming from and how much traffic you are actually getting.

Kevin said you need to be 'pre-approved' to be able to add your Analytics - http://www.infobarrel.com/InfoBarrel_Preapproved_Criteria
