How to decrease Appetite and food cravings

Food urges and appetite are two of the most important factors in sticking with a diet. In order to lose weight, you have to avoid temptation and change the way you eat. You also have to find a way to control your appetite.

Things You Will Need



Step 1

Take more vitamins. Very few people know that certain vitamins actually help to suppress your appetite and make it easier to follow through with your diet. Vitamin B2, B3, B5, B6 and Vitamin C all suppress appetite and help you to control food urges.

Step 2

Eat more fruits and vegetables. The importance of fruits and vegetables is often understated. Foods like, Cucumbers, cauliflower, celery, asparagus, apples, strawberries, oranges and grapefruit have been shown to significantly decrease appetite. Eating these foods will help to reduce appetite and control food urges.

Step 3

Fool your stomach. Sometimes you have to fool your stomach into thinking your full when your really not. Eating pastas, soups and salads can help you feel full and maintain a low-calorie intake. Drinking a lot of water before and after meals is a good way to flush out toxins and suppress appetite.

Step 4

Surpress appetite with herbs. Herbs like, Alfalfa, Nettle tea, Burdock and Ginger Root will help to reduce food cravings. These key herbs can trick the mind into thinking you're full while getting rid of excess water buildup.

Step 5

Try to avoid temptation when depressed. A lot of people get depressed and turn to food as a comfort. Work on training yourself to recognize when your depressed and occupy your mind with other things. Think about the long-term depression that will come from failing to control food urges.

Step 6

Gastric bypass surgery. Gastric bypass surgery makes the stomach smaller and allows food to bypass part of the small intestine, by doing this you can suppress your appetite and feel full. There are many risks involved in this type of surgery, but it can help you suppress you're appetite and lose weight.

Step 7

Eat more fiber. Fiber keeps you fuller longer and kills all your sugar cravings. So, by incorporating it in your diet, you can fool your body into thinking it's full. This will result in lower appetite and significant weight loss. This method can also help you get rid of toxins in your body. Fruits and vegetables have plenty of fiber. Whole grains also have plenty of fiber.

just follow a food guide canadian would be mine or eat like a diabetic watch pop intake drink diet instead dont deprive your self cause that will lead to cheating on the diet watch portions size never super size .if u feel hungry could be thirst drink first see if thats the reason u are suppostly hungry .eat lots of veggies and fruits and add spice to life lean meats and beans are good too and drink lots of water and eat fibre it really works to help lose weight u can get like bran flakes smaller then ceral kind and put it on everything and u dont taste it
