By Edited Sep 2, 2016 0 1

Every day people are being overwhelmed by toxins; there is more and more pollution from the air, water land and chemical products. Our body's are naturally designed to cleanse and detox, but they are being overwhelmed daily. That is why you see the rise in cancer, obesity and other diseases, the best thing you can do for your body is cleanse & detox. Even if you cleanse or detox once a year, that will help clear out toxins stored in your fat cells and colon.

Things You Will Need

Determination and willingness to break habits.

Step 1

Drink Water!
First on how to detox and cleanse is drink more water! Ya I am sure you have heard that before, not a newsflash I am sure. But most people still walk around dehydrated these days. Were made up of 55%-75% water, so make sure you get enough water to keep your body running smoothly. They say usually your body can tell when it's getting thirsty, but things like coffee and soda distract people from drinking enough water, also if you're older it get's harder for your body to tell if it's dehydrated. A good rule is the old rule of, 8 glasses of 8 ounces a day. Drink enough water will help detox and cleanse your body by keeping all the cleansing processes running smoothly.

Step 2

Fiber is a great way to help cleanse and detox. A high fiber diet will help you cleanse and detox by grabbing all those bad toxins on the way out. Eating a lot of fiber will make your bowel movements more beneficial and keep your intestines healthy. Some of the benefits of a high-fiber diet are: Weight loss, lowers cholesterol which helps the heart, helps blood sugar(great for diabetes) and healthy elimination. The best fiber is whole grains with bran, bran has a very high antioxidant and fiber rating. Some foods that are great in fiber are: Bran Cereal, Split peas, Lentils, Pinto Beans, Kidney Beans, Black Beans, Avocado, Lima Beans, Navy
Beans, Oats, Raspberries, Brown Rice, Soybeans, Kale, Green peas and Broccoli.

Step 3

Next way to cleanse and detox is antioxidants, there are different lists of the best antioxidants you can use as reference. Cloves are the top on a recent study, but other fruits like blueberries and cranberry are also really high. Antioxidants help fight "free radicals" that attack healthy cells in your body. By having a diet higher in antioxidants you will help cleanse and detox your body. Antioxidants also help with disease preventions, repairing damaged cells, better skin, better eyes and just overall optimal health.

Step 4

Exercise (18775)
Not another newsflash here, but exercise is also one of the best things to do. Exercise eliminates toxins and really helps sweat them out and burn them up. Exercise helps with mood, skin, weight control, cleanse and detoxing, energy and more. So try and find some time to fit in some good exercising, even if it's a walk around the block.

Step 5

Herbs (18777)
Herbs have been used for thousands of years to cleanse and detox. Many herbs help with a healthy liver function, elimination of toxins and more. Some of the best herbs for cleansing and detoxing are garlic, milk thistle, dandelion and burdock. Start adding some herbs to your regular diet and you will surely see a difference.

Step 6

Fruits and Veggies
Fruits and veggies have so many different combinations of vitamins and minerals in them to help with detoxing and cleansing. Replacing chips and unhealthy snacks with fruits and vegetables will help attack those free radicals and harmful toxins in your body.
Really it just comes down to replacing many of your old bad habits that are difficult to change. But if you decide to change, you will see and feel the great benefits that come with cleansing and detoxing.

Tips & Warnings

If you plan on using herbs for cleansing and detoxing, make sure you don't have any liver problems. Same with exercise, start slow and work your way up to harder exercises.
