How to easily clean your old, dirty coins

By | Aug 28, 2009 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0
My husband and I were walking (exercising) one day last week and he stopped in the middle of the road to pick up something. I had no ideal what he stopped for and thought he was crazy. Afterwards, we looked at it and thought it was a quarter, but it was really hard to tell because it had been run over several times. You could barely see the front or back of the coin. I started to throw it away, but then thought, "no, I'll try to clean it up see if it really is money. (I'm writing articles to make money, why would I want to throw away money). After I got out the supplies and cleaned it up, guess what it really was a quarter!

Difficulty: Easy

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • old or dirty coins
  • The Works
  • gloves
  • newspaper or cloth
  1. Step 1

Get all your old or dirty coins out. You may want to place them either on a newspaper or cloth so you don't get the counter messed up. Or because you will be using The Works, you may want to just do this outside.

  2. Step 2

Put on your gloves, or be careful not to let "The Works" stay on your hands; wash them immediately.

  3. Place your dirty coins into "The Works" solution and just watch the dirty grime and whatever else is on it, come right off.

  4. Afterwards, rinse the coins to get "The Works" completely off. Your olf dirty coins will look brand new!
