There are many ways to increase your learning abilities and perform better at school. Only very little people use these abilities. Thanks to these techniques I have passed the first year of my degree in International Business Administration cum laude at the local university. Three ingredients are needed for constant success at school: Accelerated learning, proper nutrition and hard work. This article will focus on the effects of nutrition on your learning capabilities.


First of all it is important to discuss some general learning principles that will aid you to perform better.  Supplements and nutrition do not allow you to be lazy! You still have to study as hard as you can. However proper nutrition and supplements can help you to memorize better, let your brain process even more information and work faster.

Second thing I want to discuss is the Pareto Law. This means that 80% of your results come from 20% of your efforts. You do not have to memorize the whole book in order to gain a good grade. Professors often just ask the most important principles from the Power point slides. The study books are full of useless examples and things you do not have to know. Especially American textbooks are full of nonsense. British books are more to the point in my experience. You really have to filter the useful things and discard the rest. This will spare you much time and it allows you to focus on the things that truly matter.

Nutrition routine

I always consume the following during exam weeks:

  1. Coffee. With coffee you will remember things more easily.
  2. Creatine. Creatine is not only good for exercise, it also increases creativity.
  3. Nuts. Gives your brain more energy, will make it process things faster.
  4. Spinach. Is not only good for the muscles, but will also make you smarter.
  5. Nootropics (Piracetam) Special supplements that aid your brain in memorizing.

Consume these five ingredients and your performance will certainly improve, if you can back it up with proper learning. It doesn’t allow you to be lazy and score the highest grades by doing nothing, but it will make the learning process easier and more fun, guaranteed! The only note I have to make is that you may want to refrain from coffee after exam periods, because coffee is not the healthiest drink and you may become addicted after a week of coffee drinking. Therefore use all ingredients in moderation.
