What Causes Man boobs or Gynecomastia

Gynecomastia is when your mammary glands in males or men are abnormally large resulting in breast enlargement. The condition occurs physiologically in babies due to female hormones passed on from the mother.


There are alot of things that can cause a perfectly healthy/fit/skinny person to experience the disease known as gynecomastia or Man Boobs. Whilst it may be embarrasing to talk about or to even think about if you have found this article that probably means that you have one time or another looked down at your chest and found that you either had puffy nipples or protuding breast.

Whilst this is great for women for men it can lead to quite embarrasing situations. You don't want to take off your shirt in a public swimming pool or beach, you may be afraid to get intimate with someone new or you may even be ridiculed in your high school gym locker room. Kids can be cruel especially in high school and middle school so if you are suffering from gynecomastia it can be horrible going into gym class everyday.

Whilst the cause of common gynecomastia cannot be linked to one specific reason there are a number of reasons WHY it may caused. Lets talk about the causes of Man boobs or gynecomastia before we go into what can be done to get rid of them.

Developmental Issues

When you first think about man boobs you probably think about that overweight kid in your high school locker room that everyone made fun of. The truth is that whilst Gynecomastia may go away after a person hits 18, it can also stick around. By now everyone must have seen the pictures of Simon Cowell in his tight t-shirts with his very prominent man breasts all over the place, the reason that it can stick around to older men as well as younger men is because of a chemical imbalance where the males body is producing too much estrogen.

Medical Drugs

Sometimes you may have noticed an increase in your breast size after taking a certain medication prescribed by your doctor. They are a number of medications that can also be linked to the onset of gynecomastia. One good example is the drug Efavirenz, Efavirenz is a drug used for the treatment of HIV, one of the side effects of Efavirenz is that it can also lead to your man boobs getting larger. When you have the option of either Man boobs or HIV treatment always go with the HIV treatment.

Illegal Drugs

There are many illegal/illicit drugs that can cause a man to experience gynecomastia. The most plausabile reason is because of the compound androgen. This compound is usually found in muscle building drugs like steriods, and that is why when taking steriods some body builders have been known to have what is called man boobs.

Now that we have found out what cause Man Boobs we need to discuss what can be done to get rid of man boobs.

How to Get Treatment or Get Rid Of Your Man Boobs or Gynecomastia

Now that you have found out what has caused you to get man boobs you need to start working on a plan to get rid of them.

Reports:

I have read alot of reports on the internet that have suggested how to get rid of your man boobs, the one report that has helped me out the best is the one from this site. It has single handedly helped me lose my man boobs so check it out.

Weight Loss:

The best possible way to get rid of man boobs or gynecomastia is through weight loss, if you dont have any fatty buildup in your chest you can not have man boobs. It will be tough to get rid of them beacuse with weight loss you will see fat moving off your stomach/legs before you start seeing them falling off your chest, with a smaller stomach you chest will look even bigger but don't let that deter you.

Staying Active:

We live in a world where a manly job is considered a mechanic. It used to be fisherman or lumberjack. Most people are usually sitting on a chair for 8 hours a day and than coming home and sitting on a sofa for the rest. We are living in a world where physical work has been outsourced and we just use our minds. Whilst this is great for us, it means as a sociaety we have become overweight and are losing out on excercise. If you dont want to life weights than start getting active. Walk to work. Take the stairs instead of the elevator, play a pickup game of basketball, get rid of the gardener and mow your own lawn. All these thing will make sure that you start losing weight and hopefully get rid of your man BOOBS!

Weight Lifting:


Weight lifting is great for getting rid of your man boobs. Not only will it get rid of the fat on your chest but it will be replaced by hard shiny muscles. What self-respecting man doesn't wan to get rid of this flabby sweater bunny's and replace them with a hard chiselled chest.

The best chest excercises are one that focus on a isolated part of your chest. Start out with low weight and slowly increase it until you are able to bench press your own body weight.

Cardio
:

Personally I hate cardio with a vengence and will do everything in my mind to justify not doing it. But the simple truth of the matter is this: If you want to lose fat, than weight lifting will not do it alone. You need to maintain a healty cardio circut as well because that is the only way to lose fat. Weight lifting helps you build muscle not burn fat so please understand that you will need to do some cardio.

The best cardio that has worked for me is HIITS. This is known as High Intensity Interval Training. What this means is that you try to raise your heart beat to about the 150-160 level for 2 minutes, and than you rest for 1 minute. After your one minute rest you can start the sprint again.

Cardio can be anything from running, swimming, rowing, cycling or even the stair master. Find one which you prefer and go strong!
