Natural and home remedies to maintain the youthfulness of the skin

Everybody wants a healthy and smooth skin for lifetime. The signs of ageing becomes visible and more prominent on your skin first. Besides the busy and hectic schedule of your daily life leaves a roughness on your skin. Due to all these reasons your skin may look extremely dull showing fatigue and stress all the time and makes a poor impression on the persons you deal with and on the people around.  So in order to make your skin glow you need to take care of certain things and check your food habits.

Here are some steps to be followed to maintain the glamour of your skin:  

Regular Skin care. Take regular skin care to improve your skin. Whether you have a dry or oily skin you must go through three steps for a complete nourishment of your skin: cleansing, toning and moisturizing.

Cleansing is the first step of your skin care schedule. According to your skin type buy a cleanser and try to use it when you wake up in the morning as all the dirt and oil from the pillow and the bacteria from the air are stored in your skin throughout the whole night and give a layer on it that should be all removed at the starting of your day. Wash your face with warm water while cleansing to let the pores open and afterwards rinse it off with cold water to close the pores. Cleansing your skin before you go to bed is also important as your skin has to suffer from all the dust throughout the day and carries all the germs with it whether you are outside or at home. Use a cotton ball while applying the cleanser on your face.

Toning .The cleansing process should be followed by toning that reduces the pores in your skin. Try to choose from the toners available in the market the best one that suits your skin.

Moisturizing. The last stage of skin treatment is moisturizing that protects your skin from harsh UV rays and helps to retain the moisture of your skin. This is ideal for mainly dry skins and moisturizer with SPF 15 is recommended for preventing your skin from being dried up.This total process should be done twice or thrice a day.   Keep your hands clean before using it on your skin.

Sunscreen lotion. Use a reliable sunscreen lotion when you are out for saving the skin from the sun exposure.  

Anti-ageing cream. Apply an anti-ageing cream or face pack at least once in a week. You can opt for weekly or monthly facial treatment from an expert too.  

Some of the natural and home remedies to maintain the youthfulness of the skin:  

  • Honey is friend of skin. Mix honey with milk and apply the mixture on your skin for 15 to 20 minutes. It will help your skin shine with glow.  


  • Use pineapple juice and carrot juice on your face and keep it for 20 minutes.It works wonderfully against dark spots.  


  • Crush banana and mix it with milk to apply it on your face for at least 15 minutes. Or you can take a piece of papaya and rub it to your skin for having a smoother skin.  


  • Make a mixture of tomato juice(2 tablespoon) and curd(4 tablespoon) and leave it on your face for 15 to 20 minutes to dry up and then wash it away with cold water.  

Avoid bleaching as it burns and damages the skin. In stead you can prepare natural bleach by mixing dry and powdered orange peel with milk. Keep it on the skin for about half an hour and then wash it off.  A home-made scrub can be formed by using walnut powder (1 tablespoon), lemon juice and honey. It should be left for 15 minutes to get dry and wash off afterward with cold water.It helps to decrease and remove black heads from your skin.   Use face mask by mashing pumpkin with milk and egg yolk and leave it on your face for 30 minutes for getting a glowing skin.  

Exercise. Maintain regular exercise for at least half an hour through walking, swimming or running. Cardio exercise is best for bringing back the lost shine of your skin.

Healthy diet. Avoid having oily and junk food and cut out sweets and salty foods from your diet chart. Try to consume sugar as little as possible. Try to eat fresh vegetables, fruits and grains with vitamin and minerals. Eat salads at your lunch and dinner. Vitamin C fights against pimples and so eat citrus fruits for eliminating pimples and blemishes. Fishes like fresh Tuna, Salmon, Herring, Trout are rich in fatty acid that works as anti ageing treatment. Get plenty of water as water keeps your skin hydrated and take fruit juice also to get rid of toxin.

Having a sound sleep at night (at least 8 hours at night) to relax yourself and to get free from stress that may cause break-outs is essential to make your skin healthy.
