By Edited Jun 24, 2015 0 0

If you are using Twitter for marketing and business purpose you are going to learn how to get more followers on Twitter by following a few simple steps provided in this article. Like any marketing strategy out there, success won’t happen over night. You have to put real time and effort to get Twitter followers to your personal and/or business account. Read and follow these guidelines and you will know exactly how to get more followers on Twitter.

How to get more followers on Twitter
1. Follow leaders, experts and companies that is dominating the niche you are in i.e. your competitors. If you are selling sportswear, you would follow companies like Nike and Adidas. Start to follow the people that are following these leaders, experts and companies because they are obviously interested in the products or services they offer. There is a big chance that the people who are following Nike and Adidas will be interested in your brand as well (if you have good products). By following people that may be interested in what you have to offer, many of them will start to follow you back. And that is exactly what you want! You want them to see your tweets.

2. Develop the habit to follow the people who are following you. When you get a new follower, make sure you follow them as well. Many people will unfollow people who are not following back, and this could mean less followers for you. That is something that we don’t want to happen. There’s even software out there that can unfollow people that is not following-back automatically.

3. Link all your social media profiles to your twitter account. If people like what you are doing, they will most likely want to follow you on Twitter as well. Make it easy for people to find and follow you. If you have a blog or a website, you can direct your readers to your Twitter account using a Widget. This is a really great and simple way to get more followers on Twitter.

3. If you use email as a way to communicate with your prospects and customers, provide a link to your Twitter account in your email signature. In that way the people reading your emails have a chance to get your tweets as well.

4. Write down your Twitter URL on your business cards. When you are out networking or meeting people a great way to develop that relationship is to take it online. By having your Twitter URL on your business card, people you meet in the offline world can become your online followers.
