  • Motivate yourself - It is very important to be motivated when you want to lose fat. Writing down reasons for wanting to lose fat having incentives in place when you reach goals will motivate you.
  • Set goals - One of the best ways to ensure that you are going to achieve fat loss is to set goals. Remember set exercise, diet and other goals. And be sure that you make them smart - specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time-bounded.
  • Rid your cupboards - Go trough your cupboards and fridge and clear all unhealthy foods out and fill it up with fresh, healthy foods.
  • Eat 100% healthy - Healthy foods are much lower in calories and fat.
  • Limit/avoid take-aways and sweets.
  • Don't skip breakfast it will only make you overeat.
  • Start with exercise pronto - If you are not already exercising, just check with your doctor and if you have the green light start with exercise immediately.
  • Cardio interval training - Aim to do interval training for at least 3 days a week, 20 minutes at a time.
  • Full body weight training - Great upper body exercises includes upright row (for your back), bicep curls, tricep extensions,chest press and shoulder press. Great lower body exercises are lunges, squats and calf raises.
  • Get more active - Try to do more active things everyday. Good examples are to go hiking, to take your dog for a walk and to take the stairs instead of the lift.
  • Don't stress - Try to find positive ways to destress, as stress can cause fat to be stored on your tummy. Good methods are exercising, especially Yoga and Pilates.
  • Drink green tea - Green tea may speed up your fat loss. For best results have at least 2 cups a day.
