How to make money with Fiverr

By Edited Nov 13, 2013 1 0

So, What is Fiverr?

Fiverr is basically a site where people can offer all kinds of services for $5 a pop. You can get video creation, site visitors etc.  When I first heard of Fiverr, I was pretty impressed, stuff that usually cost me around 50 bucks, I could now get for just $5. It was also a pretty good money making opportunity for me too. Anyone with NO experience can sign up and offer their services, whether it be singing, writing or making videos.

With Fiverr it's all about TIME.

Many people that offer services on Fiverr tend to forget that they are only getting paid $4 per gig (Fiverr keeps $1). So, what ever service you are offering make sure it's quick. There is no point in wasting hours just fulfilling 1 gig, although it's good to make your customers happy. Before you even create a gig, always keep in mind how long it's going to take you to do. There is gigs that only require seconds and some that only require a couple minutes. I have personally made a good amount from quick gigs on Fiverr. I certainly didn't become rich, but it wasn't that bad neither. I'm not saying you can't become rich on Fiverr, I know for a fact that you can.

Getting Featured

The people on Fiverr that are featured earn over a $100 a day. Which is pretty damn good. However, to get to this stage you need to have a gig that isn't time consuming and is somewhat easy to fulfill.  Also, from what I understand MOST of the people that are featured on Fiverr have videos on there gigs. Having a video is always good. Also, make sure you mention somewhere on your gig that it is exclusive to Fiverr. Fiverr tends to feature gigs that mention they're exclusive to Fiverr.

Feedback

Also, to get featured you're going to need a lot of good feedback. Good feedback boosts your Fiverr search rankings. So try your best to ensure a happy customer, also if you deliver well then you may even have returning customers. To try and keep your customers happy, I recommend over delivering, for example if your gig is "I will give you 1,000 visitors for $5"
give your customer 1,500 visitors. This will definitely give you a happier customer.

At the end of the day, remember you're doing it for $4 a pop.
So, you have to ask yourself whether the gig is going to take up your time or not.
Fiverr is a great way to make money online if used properly.
