How to prevent and treat diabetes

Diabetes occurs when our body is unable to produce sufficient amounts of insulin. Mainly, diabetes is found in two varieties:

Type 1 diabetes – when body is unable to produce insulin.

Type 2 diabetes – diabetes in which, the body resists insulin.

The symptoms of diabetes are extreme thirst, fluctuation in weight, because due to diabetes, excessive hunger, fatigue, excessive and frequently urination, and hazy vision. Insulin and other prescription drugs are used to treat diabetes. If you want to prevent and treat diabetes then make a healthy diet plan and exercise plan for your good, as diet and exercise play a large part in the ability to control the disease. Also, there are many herbs available for diabetes treatment.

Here are some tips on how to prevent and treat diabetes:

- Include healthy foods such as fiber rich foods, vegetables and grains in to your new diet menu, as these foods helps regulate blood-glucose levels.

- Try to avoid junk food, sugary such as cookies, cakes, sugary sodas and other sugar rich content.

- Say no or low to alcohol, tobacco and caffeine.

- In order to combat negative effects of diabetes, try to go for regular exercises, as exercise helps promote good health and to keep an appropriate weight. People with lack of physical activities are more prone to the risk factor for diabetes. It is especially important to exercise to build muscle. Starting a weight program will increase muscle mass which will increase sensitivity to insulin.

How to prevent and treat diabetes with herbal remedies:

There are many natural herbal remedies, available in the market for treating diabetes. Some natural remedies are more beneficial in case of diabetes such as Prickly pear cactus has shown positive results in the treatment of this disease. Another herbal remedy is bitter Melon which has been used more commonly for years in Asia, Africa and South America. Eating raw garlic regularly is also beneficial for reducing sugar levels. Other common herbs include ginseng, fenugreek, bilberry, psyllium, burdock and dandelion.
