One of the best remedies I have seen in a long time for removing gallstones naturally consists of consuming a large amount of apple juice. Many swear by this remedy. To do the cleanse to remove gallstones, drink 4 to 5 cups of apple juice each day for a total of 5 days. If you prefer you can eat 5 apples each day in place of the juice. During these first five days eat a diet as you normally do. On the sixth day do not eat dinner. Also on the sixth day, drink a teaspoon of Epsom salts mixed in one cup of warm water at 6:00 p.m. At 10:00 p.m. mix one half cup of olive or sesame oil with the juice from a half of a lemon. Make sure to mix this very well and drink immediately. The following morning, you should notice green colored stones in the stool. Some people have had 30, 40, and even 100 stones.
To dissolve existing gallstones and to prevent new one's from forming, take 1,200 milligrams of lecithin twice per day. Eating a diet high in fiber also helps with keeping stones from forming. Drinking at least 12 glasses of water and taking 500 milligrams of vitamin C every day are also very helpful. Try to decrease the amount of fried foods and meat in your diet. Taking one gram or taurine twice per day is also helpful with preventing gallstones as well as helping existing ones to dissolve. This is also true when taking two teaspoons of flax seed oil per day.
A wonderful tonic for the gallbladder is to pour one cup of boiling water over 5 leaves of St. John's Wort. Allow this to steep for thirty minutes and then strain the leaves from the tea. Drink several cups of this tea per day.
To help reduce or eliminate gallbladder pain, take one teaspoon of olive oil before meals. Another excellent remedy to help with gallbladder problems is to take four teaspoons of lemon juice every morning on an empty stomach. Do this for a total of seven days to see results.
