.)  Write your goals down. I cannot stress the importance of doing this. If you want to achieve your dreams you have to write them in order to make them happen. Knowing what you want out of life is very important and writing them down helps gives you a road map to attain each one of them.

.)  Create sub-goals to help you achieve your main goal. For example, if your goal is to look for a new job there are some steps you will need to take to achieve this goal. One sub-goal will be to create a resume. Another sub-goal would be to sign up for career websites and search for a job in whatever industry you want to go in. You may also want to learn about the organization you hope to acquire employment. You get the idea.

.)  Review these goals daily if possible. When you get deterred because you are not where you want to be these goals will serve as a reminder of the plans you have to getting there.

.)  If you decide to change directions change your goals. It would be ridiculous to keep the same goals if you have decided to do something different. It is okay to change your goals to accommodate alternative paths you may have to take.

.)  Do something daily to contribute to your goals whether it is reading a book or doing research on the industry. Just do something that will help you to progress towards your goal. Remember what you focus on the most expands. Remember an idle mind is the devil’s workshop.

.)  Rewrite your goals everyday so you can remember to work towards them. If you are consistently writing them down you will do something to help you to achieve them.
