One of the most annoying things is trying to help somebody troubleshoot their computer over the phone. This is especially true if they are not that competent with a PC. If you have a family member who is constantly bugging you to help them out with their computer, you will definitely want to activate remote desktop on their computer so you can access their computer from the comfort of your own home.

You will be able to access their computer as if you were sitting directly in front of it, which makes fixing stupid little problems much easier than trying to direct somebody over the phone.

Watch this video to learn exactly how to enable remote desktop on their computer, then how to access it via yours.

Remote desktop is great... I've used it a few times to get into my desktop at home from my laptop.
