How to use the Draft Function on InfoBarrel
Hi,
I tried to write an article and save it as draft. Then I went back to continue so working on the article and decided to save it as draft again. Why am I seeing two drafts with same title and different time stamp? When I tried to open both, neither had my last saved. So what I did is create a write a new article and publish. But it's really confusing and I have an impression that I do not have flexibility to edit my draft numerous times. Please help me understand how this works. thanks-harris

Hi
The tags and category which I entered before saving the draft don't show up when I reopen the article. Is this deliberate or a bug?
Also, once I resubmit an article after it was denied, it shows up in denied articles as well as pending. I guess, it should be removed from denied once resubmitted.
Thanks.
Hi Vishy,
The tags and category issue is a bug and we are working on getting that fixed up.
You article shows up in denied as well as pending articles because our system keeps track of every iteration of each article you write, in case you want to go back to a different version at some time. If you want you can delete the versions out of each of these sections with out affecting the other versions.
To use your case as an example, you could delete the version out of the Denied Articles section and the version in the Pending Articles section will still remain.
I saved an article to draft and edited it a couple of times because it had the strange A circ. Now, when I try to edit, I get a message that indicates that it has to be approved. It is not completed, and has not been published.
Is this a bug, or did I do something wrong? I cannot get to the draft with the EDIT button.
Thanks for the help.

The draft issue is still a problem. I lost an EXTENSIVE re-edit because the system did not save them as expected.
While I prefer to compose off-line, I have to add the image captions online.
Cheers,
Mitch
Whoo-hoo! I found a work-around for the drafts bug!
If you have more than one draft, you must DELETE all but the latest one.
Automagically, the draft you expected will show up in the editor.
In my case, I had saved two drafts prior to saving my final product as a third draft. the reason I saved it as a draft is that I noticed the editor gives you a better approximation of the final article. The pictures are bigger, for one thing.
Just like Linda and others, I discovered that the draft was not coming up.
Hope this helps!
But SAVE your work onto your hard drive first, PUHLEEEEZE!
(Use at your own risk, I won't know until the article is approved)
Cheers,
Mitch
