Alright everyone! So why is it that some people are able to convince you that you're wrong when you know and i mean you know you're right? What makes them so good at arguing or making their point or opinion sound so much more articulate than yours? Well it's your lucky day because you've stumbled upon this article and I've taken the liberty of giving you a few tips to help you make those parents get you a phone, help your significant other realize what a dunder head he/she is being.
1. First and foremost if you have a choice always research the topic you're discussing if you can! I can't tell you how many arguments I've one and lost based on this. You need to have your facts straight before you can even begin to try to convince the other person that you're right (or they're wrong).
2. Always try to understand the other persons opinion. Knowing your enemy is the key to defeating them as they say. Also, a good exercise is trying to defend something you do not believe in whatsoever. Why? Because now you're defending something that you hate think of how much stronger your argument will be when you address every nook and cranny they've got in their argument and then they've got no points to address that you haven't already preemptively countered!
3. Now this may not seem like a good idea but trust me, when in doubt BS your way out! Many of the best debaters in the world are masters of the art of BS. When confronted by something that surprises them or something they haven't researched this can be a life saving way to stop yourself from looking like a fool and then digressing to another point that you're actually able to address.
Those are just a few tips that can help you win an argument but none of it is going to be of any use unless you practice, practice, practice in order to make perfect. Well there you go! My first blog so far, I really hope all the information I've provided you with helps you in your endeavors whatever they may be! From getting your parents to buy you a phone to getting the cute girl down the street to date you, have a wonderful day!
