Hydrogen Peroxide – Peroxide Uses

Many people are familiar with hydrogen peroxide for the occasional cut or scrape but you may be very surprised at the many other benefits of peroxide uses for everyone and many items in your home that are safe, non toxic and easy to do. Hydrogen peroxide is sold as a 3% solution that is safe to use for at least these baker's dozen uses:

Hydrogen Peroxide – Uses

Hydrogen Peroxide for Toothache

Use hydrogen peroxide on a toothbrush and brush normally for toothache pain to greatly reduce pain and discomfort of tooth or gum pain.

Hydrogen Peroxide for Mouthwash

Use hydrogen peroxide by taking a half ounce and mixing with a half ounce of water, swoosh around the mouth for as long as possible before spitting out. Hydrogen Peroxide cleans and disinfects the mouth of bacteria and can also help with problems of halitosis, canker sores and whitens teeth safely.

Hydrogen Peroxide in the Bath

Hydrogen peroxide is inexpensive. Use one half bottle of peroxide in the bath to remove any skin infections, boils or fungus problems.

Hydrogen Peroxide to clean the Bathroom

Use peroxide in a spray bottle mixed with 50% peroxide to 50% water to clean and disinfect the entire bathroom after each use. The bathroom will be disinfected and smell great when cleaning with peroxide. It's a fast, easy, inexpensive and non toxic way to clean the bathroom surfaces and is much safer for all pipes and plumbing like chemicals are.

Hydrogen Peroxide for personal care items

Use hydrogen peroxide to soak all the family toothbrushes, combs and brushes. This will eliminate bacteria and keep the whole family healthier longer!

Hydrogen Peroxide in the Laundry Room

Peroxide can be added to laundry instead of toxic bleach. Use one cup to replace the bleach to whiten and brighten clothes without hurting the pipes or breathing in chemical bleach.

Keep all laundry supplies, cabinets, washer and dryer clean and disinfected with hydrogen peroxide quickly and easily using a spray bottle.

Hydrogen Peroxide for spot removal

Use hydrogen peroxide to safely remove stains such as blood from fabrics or carpets. Apply it full strength direct on the stain, allow the clothing item to sit one minute, rub the fabric together and wash normally. Check to see if the stain is removed before placing the clothing item in the dryer. If the stain persists, repeat the process until the stain is gone.

Hydrogen Peroxide to clean glass and mirrors

Use a mix of 50% peroxide in a spray bottle with 50% water to clean all glass and mirrors using a soft cotton cloth and another dry cotton cloth. Using hydrogen peroxide in this way will eliminate the smearing that most other chemical cleaners leave behind.

Hydrogen Peroxide in the kitchen

Use hydrogen peroxide at a 50-50 solution in a spray bottle to clean all kitchen counters, cabinets and tables. This is a great way to disinfect quickly and easily without the toxic smell or fumes of chemical cleaners. Clean the washcloth quickly as well with a quick spray of hydrogen peroxide.

Disinfect the cutting board after use in the kitchen with your hydrogen peroxide for quick germ killing effects that keep you and your whole family safe and healthy.

Highlight your hair with Hydrogen Peroxide

Spray a mixture of 50% peroxide to 50% water onto your hair while wet and gently comb through. Peroxide will gently and gradually lighten hair without damaging it as chemicals do. This mixture will also save you a lot of money to lighten blonde, dirty blonde or even light brown hair.

Hydrogen Peroxide to relieve stomach indigestion

Mix one ounce (shot glass) of peroxide to a full 8 oz glass of water and drink to safely reduce the bacteria and indigestion caused by many stomach problems such as indigestion, acid reflux and colon cleansing.

Hydrogen Peroxide for pets

As an added benefit and one more use for peroxide, clean off your pets paws after returning from the outdoors to keep them clean, dirt and germ free and it's also great on any cuts they may get from being outside. Keep a 50%-50% solution with water in a spray bottle near the door for pet paw cleaning. And, peroxide won't hurt your pets when they lick their paws like chemicals and chemical cleaners do!

* Always label all spray bottles so that you and everyone in the home knows what the bottle contains and it's proper use.

Thanks for the new ideas, I used to love putting it on a sore and watch it all bubble up years ago. Although these days the concentrate is not as strong as it used to be so it does not do it the same. But still great stuff and I have learned so much more from this article.
