Don't get me wrong. There is money to be made by writing articles online on platforms like Infobarrel. The only problem though is that if you want to make the big bucks, you have to study things like keyword research and SEO and then apply those principles into your writing.
The problem with this is that the only keywords you'll find are about topics that do not interest you at all! It's not easy to write an article on something you're not interested in at all. That's why even though I shared my plan to write using these search engine optimization techniques, I've changed my mind yet again and I am now planning to just writing tons and tons of articles instead about whatever I choose to write about.
It will be a whole lot more fun and who knows, maybe I will end up earning some decent money too. After all, everyone says that if you do what you love, the money will follow... which makes a lot more sense than chasing money first. I remember Dr. Joe Vitale from The Secret sharing a story about a group of people that was split pretty much down the middle when it came to whether they would chase their passion first or chase money first. The funny thing is that 20 years later, there were more millionaires in the group of people that chose to do what they loved than the people who chose to chase money. Ironic, isn't it? Again, I'm not entirely sure this is a true story but it would make sense to me.
I highly encourage you to follow me and start writing whatever you want to write about here on infobarrel. Write about your interests, and your passions. It's the only way to go. It's just not worth it to write articles that will earn you more money but the writing process would be miserable for you. Unless you enjoy what you're doing with your writing and with your life in general, it's time to change the way you do things.
I firmly believe that life is about having a good time and enjoying the journey. It's also important to work hard but you need to learn to include a little play into your work. A little fun into your work is not that bad of a thing after all.
The only bad part about writing articles about whatever you want is that it may take you a long time before you end up making any serious money but at the end of the day it's not all about the money, right?
It's funny, just writing that made me think that maybe my focus in life is in all the wrong places. I've been so focused on making money and I haven't had much success as of yet... Maybe I just need to take a little break from all of this stuff. Actually, that's exactly what I need and that's exactly what I'll do. I've been obsessing over creating a passive income and it's just not healthy anymore.
Thanks for reading.
