If You Love Helping Others You Should Become a Reiki Master

Of course you don't need to become a Reiki Master in order to be able to help others but having the power of healing life force energy certainly can make a difference in other people's lives.

Reiki healing energy is a non-intrusive way of helping other people because the energy of Reiki will only go there where it is needed. You can send the energy from anywhere in the word to anybody in need. You can even include sending healing energy into the world without a fixed destination, just accompany it with your mental message of wanting to do well and it will find it's way to those who most need it, when the most need it.

You might find that sometimes when you want to help somebody, that person really isn't open to accepting your helping hand at that moment and it can be really upsetting at times to see a loved one struggle without letting you help them. Reiki energy can be sent to these people and when they need it the most and are ready to accept it, it will be there to help them.

Maybe it is a bit difficult to wrap your head around this concept but when you are dealing with healing energy and are learning to become a Reiki master, the more you learn and practice, the more you will realize that it is actually really simple.

There are no limits to Reiki healing energy so why should we even try to limit it ourselves. Reiki energy can travel thousands of miles and even cross time barriers and will only go there where it is needed and accepted. This is due to the positive and selfless nature of the life force energy, which also makes it possible to do long distance healing sessions on people and animals that are in need.

So what does it take to become a Reiki Master?

First of all you will need to be willing to study Reiki. Some people say that you just have to go for different attunements and learn some Reiki symbols and that is all there is to it, but I do feel that the more you immerge yourself, the more able you will be to open up your energy channels to Reiki.

The better understanding you have of this type of energy, the more profound effects you will be able to expect from it, although you will always have to remember that you should not try to control your Reiki energy, cause trying to control it, would actually limit it.

Once you have made the decision that you are willing to study and that you feel ready for it, you should find the place or course that most appeals to you. This can mean a month retreat on some island, spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars on doing courses and attunements, guided meditation and the likings, but it could very well mean that you follow an online Reiki course.

Now, before you pull up your nose and start protesting, saying that online Reiki courses can't work, think about it for a while.

Is a course better because it is more expensive, or does your own intention have a big impact on the final outcome? If you learn how to apply distance-healing sessions during your courses to become a Reiki master, why should distant attunements be less powerful than hands-on? After all, saying that distant attunements don't work is limiting the powers of Reiki energy.

What I do feel is most important when it comes to deciding on your own course to follow is that you feel confident it is the right course for you. I myself felt at first that online courses just couldn't work and I actually followed my first levels with a Reiki Master, receiving my attunements directly from them, but when I started progressing more and more, the clearer it became that attunements are easily done (and in many cases even better!) over a distance.

I actually found quite an extensive online Reiki course that consists of all sorts of attunements, video sessions, student manuals and a great forum where students can ask there questions and find a base of support that far exceeded my own expectations.

So it is out of personal experience and years of practicing Reiki energy that I can say that online Reiki courses can work and help you become a Reiki Master, as long as you pick the right one. When choosing make sure that there are different components to the course, like the different attunements needed, either self-attunements or long distance (or better even, both!), extensive study material and if possible audio or video that helps you learn the different Usui Reiki symbols, hand positions and what to do during a healing Reiki session.

If a course consist of all of that material and you feel it is the proper path to follow in your particular case, please don't let anybody take your mind off of it. Working with healing is probably one of the most beautiful experiences in my life and it has given me great passion and joy. Plus over the course of these past years I have been able to help many others, either through direct healing sessions or by just sending them some energy when I felt I should.

My decision years ago to become a Reiki Master certainly was the right one and I truly hope that after reading this article you might consider to become one too. If not to help others, it could do wonders in your own life without you realizing it at first, but feeling more at peace and tranquil is one of the benefits that comes along with learning more about Reiki healing energy, so no matter what happens, you will always feel better once you have taken the plunge.
