Making Friends: Dogs Can Help
Your Dog Can Help You Make Friends
Many people struggle with making friends, but maybe your dog can help. But why is it so hard to make friends? Most people struggle with meeting and making new friends all there lives.
Have you ever noticed that some people just seem to have friends? Any where they go, people just know and like them. They don't have an explanation and they are not looking for more than what they have, it is just something that is.
I have asked that question myself many times. And finally one day I got the idea to try some things to make new friends.
As I was researching different activities that could help me make moe friends, I came across some interesting ideas. But in the end, I found one idea that made a lot of sense to me. I started using the idea to make friends. To my surprise, it really worked.
This crazy idea actually helped me make friends more than I had ever done before. So how does it work? What is it exactly? I am going to talk about it here and hopefully help you make friends as well.
Your Dog, Your Best Friend
Dogs are amazing animals. They ask for nothing and yet give you everything they have. They offer you love and affection unconditionally. They truly are man's best friend.
No wonder why we love our dogs so much. If you own a dog, you know what I mean. When you come home from work or a trip, your dog is so happy to see you that he/she can't control themselves.
They are waiting at the door for you with their tail wagging and their tongue hanging out. They are so excited that they can't stand still.
When you get home and see your dog so happy to see you, you are so happy to him/her as well.
What Does Your Dog Do
Let's look at what your dog does. Your dog doesn't work a job. Your dog doesn't help the neighbors or clean the house. Your dog doesn't mow the lawn or help with the groceries. So what does your dog do?
Your dog is a professional friend. Because he/she is such a good friend, you feed your dog, bath him/her, make sure they have their shots, and a roof over their head. You do all this because of the friend they are to you.
So if your dog can get you to do all those things, they are doing something right.
Let's look at some of the things that dogs do and then we will apply those things to ourselves.
- Be Happy - When your dog sees you coming through the door, they are so happy to see you. If you use this strategy, you should make sure that you are happy to see and talk to the people you are around. Everyone likes to be around people to are happy. No one likes to be around people who are miserable.
- Be Loyal - If dogs are anything, they are loyal. They are always at your side, even to a fault. When you are trying to make new friends, the best thing you can do is be loyal. Help without being asked. Help without asking for anything in return. Call your friends. Be interested in what they are doing. Be there for them.
Because our dogs do these two things, it makes them the best friends in the world. They give us happiness and loyalty, and in return, we take care of them and love them.
If you are trying to win over new friends, these things will definitely help you. Remember, think about your friends first and they will reward you by being your friend.
Good luck and happy trails.
