Important Tips in Hair Loss Prevention

By | 0 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

Many people have problems with hair loss although it is very natural. Whatever your motivation in seeking hair loss prevention is, it is important to understand the causes of hair loss because hair loss can be avoided in some cases. However, in most cases, hair loss is genetic. This means that if you have a history of hair loss in your family, you may not be able to escape it yourself.

Bathing and showering is the major cause of hair loss. This is why most of the lost hair is found on bathtubs. This is because the human skin has oils that trap water and keep the skin moist and healthy - baths and showers get rid of these oils. You should therefore avoid showering and bathing when it is not necessary and when doing so, avoid harsh soaps such as the ones that have deodorant. You should also avoid astringents because they get rid of the oils in the skin. Whenever possible, you should use a shampoo, soap and any other hair loss prevention product that has organic ingredients because most chemical-based products usually lead to hair loss.

Different medical conditions and taking antibiotics can cause hair loss. Some of the conditions such as cancers cannot be avoided, but some can. For this reason, you should exercise regularly to avoid such medical conditions.

You should avoid the overuse of curling irons and hairdryers - these have been linked to hair loss. If you have to use them, it should not be on a regular basis and the intensity of the heat should be low.

To prevent hair loss, you should avoid excessive use of hair dye. If you have to color your hair, leave a gap of at least six to eight weeks between the sessions to avoid baldness. This is a balancing act between sporting gray hair and baldness.

An effective hair loss prevention measure is to avoid tight hairstyles. Hairstyles such as ponytails, braids buns lead to hair loss because they stretch the skin and make the roots weak.

A proven way of preventing hair loss is to eat a diet that is rich in protein because hair follicles are made of protein. Eggs, low-fat cheese, fish and other seafood are some of the best foods if you want to avoid hair loss. The food should also contain calcium, which strengthens the hair follicles and roots.

Consumption of alcohol and tobacco in large quantities causes hair loss and you should choose between kicking these habits and going bald. If it is all ready too late, you could look at some hair replacement systems to find another alternative.
