There are a few things that you can do in order to improve your golf swing. Many golfing beginners to advanced players alike get frustrated with their swing and do not see results from practicing and playing endlessly. The following is a little bit of a guide and tip sheet that you can use to compare to your swing and maybe able to help point out what you're doing wrong with this current swing. We all know that the swing is the most important part of our game and the success of it will largely determine how successful your overall game actually is. Here following listed are some tips for the perfect swing:

  • Make sure you grip the club correctly; this can be done through having your pinkie and index fingers interlocking. Make sure to place your pinkie at the top of your index finger. A better example would be to hold the club like you would with any baseball bat. You'd be surprised how much a correct grip can determine your swing and ball placement. It is absolutely fundamental that you get this right.
  • Make sure you stay balanced through the entirety of your swing. If you test your swing, make a mental note of any imbalance you feel. This will generally help you determine what areas need working on. Such as your follow through, stance, grip etc.
  • Work to keep the right arm close to the side during the backswing and follow through. If you're a slicer, try this method as it will help reduce your slice and correct your shot accordingly. By keeping your arm tucked into your side, it will help you stay over the ball and thus avoid an open face when you hit the ball.
  • Most golfers don't have a proper follow through or don't follow through at all. A follow through is one of the most important aspects to your swing. It helps with balance and correct strength buildup and release. You don't ever see a baseball thrower suddenly stop his arm from moving after the release of the ball, do you? You shouldn't either playing golf
  • The next step or tip is to practice endlessly. And when I say practice, I mean practice as often as you can. This could mean daily or weekly depending on your availability. A good way of getting some serous practice is through going to a driving range and hitting endless balls. This practice is usually better than going to a clubhouse to play a full 18 holes because you can spend time more optimally and efficiently practicing endlessly in this way. If you don't have that option, go to your local park where you can hit a few golf balls.

I hope some of these tips and guidelines will help you determine what you're doing wrong if anything, with your current swing. After i reread this article i'm going to do these drills to improve my golf swing. The swing and follow through are the more difficult things to get right. However once you do get them right, things will change pretty quickly and you'll start to see some real successful outcomes!
