If you have read parts 1 & 2 then you already know that I like to improve my appearance from head to toe. If you have not yet read the first two parts to this series, please do so as it will give you a good idea of where to start improving your look. As you go to improve your appearance, it is important to remember that your inside health reflects on the outside. So as much work as you do to improve your appearance, much more can be accomplished if you dedicate your diet to your appearance and overall men's health regimen.
Having pearly whites can make a man look younger and more attractive. As hard as it is for some people to believe, having model-like teeth is not that far out of reach. So without further adiue, here are simple steps to take to improve your teeth and mouth hygiene.
Step 1 - Stop Using Tobacco
Easy enough to understand. If you want to be the healthiest man you can be, you have to quit smoking daily. Now, I am not going to say you must cut out stogies at the Yale Club, but just don't do it too often or you will have to do a lot more work to get the stains in your teeth out. As we all know from commercials, smoking and chewing tobacoo causes gum disease and cancers that make for a pretty unattractive appearance. Almost all men's health magazines will tell you the best way to improve your overall appearance and health is to stop drinking and smoking...especially for the daily users. There are plenty of ways to cut the habit these days, from patches and therapy to food and gum. Choose a few, and remember that in the end, it really is the best way to attract women and improve your appearance.
On to step 2.
Step 2 - Brush After Eating
Everybody knows that brushing helps remove food stains and that gross morning breath smell, but oral health is often times a hit-or-miss chore-like duty. If you are anything like me, sometimes you forget to brush your teeth. Or to floss. Or to use mouth rinse. But the best way to get really white teeth, like the celebrities and models, is to simply brush after every big meal you have. Brushing in the morning is necessary but brushing after lunch is also very important. Food stains become harder to remove as the hours tick by so removing them before they even have a chance to do too much damage is your best bet for improving your teeth. As you choose a toothpaste for daily use, get a paste that is not only going to clean and freshen up your mouth, but one that is going to be easy on your gums. Brands like Marvis and Toms of Maine are a bit more expensive but they are worth every penny.
Developing a men's health regimen does take some planning in the first stages, but soon you will be doing everything blindfolded.
Step 3 - Floss & Rinse
As we seek to improve our appearance and become desirable and healthy men, remembering that flossing and rinsing should be done twice daily. Flossing sucks. No, it really does. If you haven't done it in a while you will most likely make your gums bleed too. Bleeding gums is but a small price you pay to improve your oral health for the better though. Soon your gums will toughen up and flossing will be so easy, you will wish you started years earlier. Food that gets stuck in between teeth is often times not visible to you, but foul odors can often be caused by those particles and no one wants to suck face with a guy whose breath smells like roast beef. Lesson: Just floss.
A mouth rinse doesn't have to be a fancy designer brand to get the job done. Every time you brush, you should rinse out your mouth with a mouth rinse of some sort. A mouth rinse is the best supplement for your oral mouth care regimen, doing the extra things a tooth-brush and floss can not do.

Step 4 - Use a Quality Whitening Strip
If you really want whiter teeth, this is a step you must take. You may find yourself asking the question, "How do I whiten my teeth?". Well, men's health magazines and blogs often say to use whitener strips which is correct. However, with so many out there, it can be overwhelming to say the least. My favorite whitening system actually can't be found on stores' shelves. The Crest White Strips Supreme system is about 100% more effective as the ones you can buy in the stores. In fact, I have tried several different white strips through out the years and have never seen a visible difference until I tried the supreme. These strips are very potent, which is why you can not buy them in the stores. But if you go to a dentist he can hook you up or you can do it the easier way and just buy them on Amazon like I do. For around $55, you get 84 strips of magical goodness. Unlike a lot of the systems in the stores, these need 21 days of consistent use, twice daily. The directions read to use each strip for 30 minutes, one on top and one on bottom. After those 30 minutes, remove them and replace with new ones for another 30 minutes.
A secret I can share with you if that you can actually get a bit more umph out of them if you leave them on for 45 minutes each. This allows the solution to work a bit longer without actually harming the teeth. Your first several days using the strips, you will most likely get nerve shock from the solution. Just remember the end goal and the pain will subdue in a matter of seconds. I have never seen whiter teeth than around the 14th day of this system. After your 21st day, maintaining the whiteness of your teeth is as easy as one white strip per row of teeth per week.

Step 5 - Avoid Tea & Coffee (for a bit)
Tea and coffee are actually good for you in moderation, and in How to Improve Your Appearance - Men's Health Series Part 2 (Hair) I even mentioned that green tea is something that should be added to your regimen if you would like to grow your hair the thickest and fullest it can. However, as you start and in order for the whitening system to work as effectively as possible, it would be wise to cut out tea and coffee for that time or to brush right after so the liquid does not have a chance to settle on the teeth and cause stains.
