Improving blog posts by adding Youtube videos
It is easy to liven up the content of blog posts by adding images and video. I was really excited when I discovered how easy it is to add Youtube clips to my blog posts. If you want to add a youtube vido clip the procedure is very easy. The link above takes you to a post that describes the procedure step by step. Now that I know what to do, it literally takes about 30 seconds to include the code once I have decided what movie I want to add.
Why would you want to include a video on a blog post? For me showing a video is a great way to liven up the content of your site. It is also easy to show your readers cool things that you find on Youtube. Rather than simply sending out an email to your friends advising them to click a link, embedding the video on your site may encourage more people to take a look.
I love snooker so thought I'd share this Youtube video of Ronnie O'Sullivan's fastest 147 break. Amazing skill at a blistering pace!
There are a host of other Infobarrel articles that have advice about improving your blog, from starting a blog to where to find free pictures. It would be cool if we can all publish little nuggets of information about new things we learn how to do. Embedding a Youtube clip into a blog post is not difficult at all. However until yesterday I had no idea how to do it. I found one site that explained the procedure but this was spread out over 5 pages. That is why I decided to write a more concise set of instructions about how I was able to add a Youtube video to my site.
