Home pedicure procedure
The first step for home pedicure is getting hold of a basic pedicure tool kit that has nail clippers, cuticle oil, orange wood sticks, cuticle nipper, nail color removers, nails colors, foot basin, moisturizers and other essential oils.; basically a bunch of nail care products. Remove any traces of nail color on the toenails using color removers dabbed in cotton. Soak the feet in warm water-filled basin, and if possible, in an electric bubbling foot bath, for about ten minutes. Then, after drying your feet, apply cuticle remove to the base of the toenails and once it gets softened, using the wedged end of the orange wood stick, push the cuticle backwards. Nip the protruding skin, if any, using a cuticle nipper. Rubbing your feet using exfoliating scrubs can leave your skin smooth and soft as it removes the dead cells. Clean the toenails and the feet using a brush, dry it completely and then square off the toenails using an emery board or metal nail file. Pamper your feet by administering a generous portion of moisturizer and massaging your feet knee down to speed up the blood circulation. With over six bones, 33 joints, 100 ligaments in the feet, a massage can work wonders to the internal body organs, offering maximum relaxation. Cutting the nails straight can remove the chances for ingrown toenails that can turn out to be quite painful. Then, enhance the looks of your feet by applying a thin layer of base clear varnish followed by a smooth layer of nail color. On drying up, apply another coat, both with three simple strokes with enough nail color for a toenail to prevent smudging and chipping of the polish. The task can be completed by a topcoat clear paint to make it last longer.
Tips for home pedicure
Adding a few drops of aromatic oil into the warm water before soaking the feet can invigorate the mind and body. To fight off odor, pour lemon grass oil or eucalyptus oil, and use clove oil to ward off fungal infections. Some people believe that soaking the feet in a few cups of milk and water can loosen up the dead skin cells faster. Good luck on your in home pedicure!
