Indian Head Massage

By | 0 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

Indian head massage has been a popular massage technique used to alleviate stress and relax the body. The worldwide recognition of Indian head massage has significantly contributed to India not only as a country but as a culture. Before, Indian head massage was only learned and passed on from generation to generation but because of the demand and popularity of this kind of therapeutic massage, India and even other countries have offered Indian head massage courses. The course not only teaches Indian head massage techniques per se, but what India considers as part of their culture. However, with the increasing number of learning centers and schools offering Indian head massage courses, especially in United Kingdom, one should be vigilant and curious enough to know if the learning center or school one is enrolling in is licensed to teach authentic Indian head massage techniques. This is not only to share and promote a part of Indian culture but also to ensure that therapists who perform Indian head massage therapies are certified and licensed.

People who have tried and are happy with the benefits of Indian head massage attest that undergoing the therapy does not only deeply calm and relax them but also leave them an energized and revitalized feeling for better concentration. The Indian head massage technique is developed to release the stress and muscular tension that has accumulated in the tissues and muscles of the head, face, neck, and shoulders. Indian head massage is also highly recommended to people who have high or low blood pressure and diabetes because it was said to reduce the negative effects of stress and any kind of heart condition. Other benefits of Indian head massage include increased mobility and flexibility of the neck and shoulders, improved blood circulation and lymphatic flow, relaxed connective tissues, and toxin and waste elimination.

Though Indian head massage has its benefits, it also has some down sides. Not all physical, physiological, and emotional problems can be solved by Indian head massage. If one has recently undergone head, neck, or even spinal injury, it is advised to temporarily avoid Indian head massage. There are also times when one would experience a feeling of tiredness, dizziness, and aching muscles. All of these are temporary side effects and would usually wear out after a few hours leaving the client feeling energized. It is also advised to avoid alcohol intake at least five hours prior to undergoing Indian head massage to avoid any unwanted side effects.
