I tried to submit an earnings report for the month of November and it wasn’t approved because…well…because I didn’t have any earnings!
Anyhoo, I’m back this month because I actually got some earnings!
I was more than elated when I got my first click which earned me $1 and some change in my Adsense. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, that click and that $1+ was adjusted and taken away.
Getting my first click was exciting. Losing it sucked but nevertheless, I’m still excited about my progress.
Without further ado THE TOTALS:
For a GRAND total of $1.69
I know that it's the understatement of the millenium to say that my earnings pale in comparison to other members like jcmayer777 and others but really am excited about my earnings and my potential to earn even more. If I managed to make $1.69 with 14 articles then that means I ONLY need to write 8,333 articles within the next year to reach my goal of $1000 a month on InfoBarrel.
I can either do that OR I can learn more about SEO and Keyword research.
I think I’ll choose the second option.
SEO is definitely the best way to go for me because my best performing articles are ones that I did keyword research for. The article with the most clicks isn't the one that has earned the most, but is the one with the most pictures. So in the future I will definitely incorporate multiple pictures into each article that I write.
As of December 31, 2011 I had 14 articles. I managed to write one more article last month than I had the month before. I must do better!
Goals for January 2012 (Month 3 on Infobarrel)
I feel that I really must substantial increase my article totals to keep from getting discouraged and to meet my goals. At the very very least I want to be making at least $100 a month on InfoBarrel.
This month I’m setting more realistic goals. Because I have two jobs, finding the time to write doesn’t always happen. I will try to end this month with a total of 33 articles. Hopefully I can muster up enough words to earn my 90% ad share.
- Diversifying. I was going to try to venture out to other article writing sites but I just haven’t been motivated enough to do that yet. Seekyt, Squido and others are all turning out well for others, I know I should be jumping on the bandwagon, but I feel as though I want to hoard all my articles for InfoBarrel.
- Backlinking. I have gotten a lot of mixed messages about backlinking. I'm not sure what the best course of action, but I do know that I really don't like to do it. I started off the month trying to incorporate backlinking but grew tired of it rather quickly, I am currently undecided about permanently implementing it.
I can't wait to see what the months ahead have in store!
