Investing in a PlayStation 3 Gaming Console

By | Jan 4, 2010 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

If you have teenagers you understand the importance of having a gaming console as part of your home entertainment center. Your kids will spend hours in front of the television playing on a gaming console and those are hours you're not going to have to worry about because they'll be having quality fun. However, not all gaming consoles are alike. They all have their pros and cons, for example the PlayStation 3 series (which just came out in November of 2006) has some unique features. You're probably thinking "Great, another thing to waste more money on." Well, that's not entirely true in this case. Here's a little bit information on the PlayStation 3 gaming console which will help you decide whether investing in another gaming console is worth it or not.

Sony created the PlayStation 3 with many great new features and ideas in mind. They did a fantastic job integrating new technology together to make an innovative machine that not only plays PlayStation 3 games but plays DVDs, CDs, PlayStation 1 and 2 games and-the most popular feature of all-Blu-ray DVDs. What this means to you as a parent is that your child can easily load a Blu-ray DVD and watch it on a gaming console.

Now, you might be wondering what the purpose behind that is if you already have a PlayStation and a DVD player which both work adequately. Consider this: do your children have to hook up the PlayStation every time they want to play a game? Do they have to fiddle with the settings on the television? The answer is likely yes and, quite frankly, that can get confusing. Not only does a PlayStation 3 take up less room than a gaming console plus a DVD player, you're not going to have to switch around settings between all your different devices, you can have the PlayStation 3 as your DVD player.

In addition, a PlayStation 3 gaming console has HDMI connections-which means if you have an HD television-and who doesn't want the best picture given by an HD television-then your PlayStation 3 is even more compatible and will actually have better graphics and pictures due to that HDMI connection. With normal gaming consoles you get some pretty horrible graphics-we're talking pixilated and even blurry-because the gaming consoles can't push through fast enough. With the PlayStation 3 that's not a problem at all.

Even better about the PlayStation 3 are the wireless controllers that make putting away and even playing easier. As a parent you don't have to worry about tripping over cords between the television and couch and as kids you don't have to worry about wrapping up cords neatly because they aren't there.

Between the upgradable hard drive, HDMI compatibility, Blu-ray playing capabilities, wireless controllers and other upgraded technology features investing in a Sony PlayStation 3 is a great idea. There are so many pros in buying a PlayStation 3.
