Is Medifast a Healthy Way to Lose Weight?
The Medifast diet program is a very low calorie weight loss program that includes over 70 meal replacement options including specially prepared shakes, puddings, bars and soups, as well as one lean protein and vegetable filled meal per day. On this program, dieters consume between 800 to 1,000 calories per day.

There is no meal preparation, aside from the one lean and green meal that you are required to have each day. The soy protein shakes and other meal substitutes are complete meals in themselves, as far as having enough vitamins and minerals to meet your daily requirements in these areas.
While you may initially feel a little tired or lacking in energy when you initially start on this program, that feeling passes and by around day four you should be not only losing weight but feeling very energized as well.
