Is Spray Tanning Safe On Skin?
Most people enjoy the idea of spray tanning. Why shouldn't
they be? It's an amazing thing to get our tans in less than an hour. It's much
better than the way people used get it done in the past that's for sure. We all
know how bad the sun can be for you if you stay under it too long.
Unfortunately, after many researches have been done, it is not clear anymore
whether or not spray tanning is really safe.
Many people suggest that it is safe based on the approval of the
FDA (food and drug administration). Unfortunately, the only thing that the food
and drug administration has approved of is the main ingredient used in
spray tanning products called the DHA (dehydroxyacetone). If this is not convincing
enough people should at least read the ingredients written on the products'
labels.
Most spray tanning products contain lead, mercury and many
other dangerous ingredients that are very harmful to your skin. The worst thing
about it all is that people don't even consider stopping and reading what they
are putting on their skin. All they care about nowadays is getting their
quick-and-easy tan.
Many
spray tanning salons show people the importance of
taking safety precautions before they enter a booth. For instance, they
consider it very harmful if you happen to inhale some of it during process. Other
than that, they consider it safe. Others however disagree. There are also those
who know the risks they are taking but still insist on going for it. If this is
your condition you should at least make sure you wear goggles and nose plugs. The
solution can be 10 times as harmful once inhaled.
