Most people are fully aware that colored contacts are available on the market. However, you are erroneous to think that they're just for people who have vision problems. They are used by many people who do not have vision problems at all. In fact, are probably using nonprescription contacts then you think. For example, they are used for Halloween costumes, nightclub workers, actors and actresses, and anyone who wants to change the color of their eyes. They can before novelty and cosmetic purposes or for everyday natural looking looks.

One other fact that most people are not aware of is that you must be fitted for prescription or nonprescription contacts. In other words, no matter what you are using them for, you must go to an optometrist first. They will measure your iris and also your pupil. Both of these measurements are extremely important in order to get the right fit. This is even true with novelty contacts. No reputable company will sell you any kind of contact lenses without a fitting from an ophthalmologist or optometrist. Thankfully, these kinds of prescriptions are easy and inexpensive to fill.

Many people still do not understand exactly why they need to have fitted contacts if they're just going to wear them for one day. Thanks for example of grey contact lenses. If you buy them and they are too large, they will even unattractive ring around your natural iris color. It will be very obvious that you have bought colored contacts. If you buy them and they are too small, your original eye color will show up as a ring as well. After all, you want to get what you paid for.

You also need to make sure that your pupil has enough area to emerge. If you buy white color contacts, they are extremely opaque. That means that the color is thick. If you buy them and they are not large enough for your pupil, it will affect your peripheral vision. This means that you will not be able to see anything on the side of your vision. Believe it or not, you can have serious accidents from not having this kind of vision. No one wants to and have an accident or be unable to drive just because they did not have their contacts fitted. For all of these reasons, get a prescription for your eye measurements before you buy any colored contacts regardless of whether not you need to wear glasses.
