Here are some healthy, and tasty, juicer recipes that are especially well suited for the Jack LaLanne power juicer machines. Included are some of the many wonderful health benefits each of these juices can provide. So lets get to the recipes!

Power Juicer Recipe #1 - The Workout Juice
1 medium sized beet
1 apple - to dilute

Recent studies have found that fresh beet juice is excellent for helping us workout longer. One of these studies, conducted at Northumbria University, UK, tested the effects of a daily beet juice or a placebo upon a group of cyclists for a period of 2 weeks. At the end of the 2 weeks those given the beet juice were able to cycle for 12% longer on average compared to no change in the placebo group! Researchers believe it is the high content of nitrates in beet juice that provides this stamina enhancing effect. Nitrates slow the rate at which oxygen is burned in the muscles therefore increasing the length of time before they fatigue.

Power Juicer Recipe #2 - Tropical B Vitamin Blast
1 large mango
2 guava

Using the wonderful tropical combination of mango and guava in your Jack LaLanne power juicer recipes is a great way to provide the essential B vitamin, from B1 through to B6, in your diet. B vitamins are essential to energy production in the body because they are needed for releasing the energy from the food we eat to fuel all of our trillion cells. B vitamins are also needed for maintaining skin and muscle tone and contributing to strong healthy hair and nails.

Power Juicer Recipe #3 - Vitamin C Jubilee
3 kiwi fruit
1 cup of pineapple flesh

Kiwi fruit and pineapples are two fruits that are among the highest in vitamin C. They contain even more vitamin C than orange, the famous vitamin C fruit. Vitamin C plays an important part in cardiovascular health and protecting us from heart disease by two distinct methods.

First, vitamin C is required for the creation of collagen, the firm yet elasticated substance that keeps our arteries supple. If our vitamin C intake becomes too low then the body has to use a substitute for the constant cycle of creating new collagen for the arteries and that substitute is cholesterol! This will lead to atherosclerosis, a disease in which the arteries become hardened and narrowed, reducing blood flow and consequently raising blood pressure levels and the risk of heart attack and stroke.

Second, vitamin C is an antioxidant that protects LDL cholesterol in the blood stream form becoming oxidized. This also prevents the development of atherosclerosis because LDL cholesterol that has become oxidized will stick to the artery wall and turn into a hardened plaque.

Power Juicer Recipe #4 - Super Detox Juice
1 cup of broccoli heads
1 cup of kale
1 cup of fresh parsley
2 apples - to sweeten

This Jack Lalanne power juicer recipe is excellent for detox because it contains 3 of the most powerful vegetables that aid in detoxification. Broccoli and kale contain compounds called sulforaphane and indoles that stimulate the liver to greatly enhance its production of detoxification enzymes. These detoxification enzymes are the best all around natural detoxification agents that we know of and help to eliminate a wide range of toxic substance from our cells such as toxic heavy metals and harmful drug residues. Parsley has been discovered by several different studies to be extremely effective at clearing out toxic heavy metals from our bodies, especially mercury. This makes parsley a great option for this with amalgam fillings that slowly release mercury into the body.
