Japanese Skin Care

By Edited Jun 9, 2015 0 1

Japanese skin care holds a great many secretes. Indeed, the Japanese are the longest lived race in the world. This is not due to genetics. The Japanese consume a type of kelp known as Phytessence Wakame. This kelp has amazing health benefits and is one of the primary reasons why the Japanese live so long.

Wakame is used by the Japanese from everything as a food snack to ingredients inside Japanese skin care products. Why is Wakame so beneficial to your skin? Wakame contains special ingredients that help promote elastin and collagen in the skin. These are two elements that are essential to giving skin its youthful vigor. When you age, your body's lack of production of elastin and collagen cause the production of wrinkles. By applying products that contain elastin, you provide your skin with the elements it needs to maintain its elasticity.

The constant consumption of Wakame can explain the amazing youth that Japanese people often retain. It's not uncommon to see a Japanese person who looks 15 or 20 years younger than his or her age. This is because most Japanese skin care products contain Wakame extracts. Indeed, any such edible seaweed contains high concentrations of minerals that help fight against aging.

Free radicals are a protein in your body thought to be the primary source of aging. Free radicals interfere with cellular activity, causing the cell tiny bits of damage. While this damage is not extensive it multiples as the cell reproduces. The child cell is less healthy than the parent cell. Through the generations of cells, all this damage adds up and eventually the cell is no longer able to reproduce.

Phytessence Wakame also contains some of the highest concentrations of antioxidants. What's so good about antioxidants? Antioxidants bind to the free radicals causing them to be inactive. This essentially halts or greatly reduces the aging process in the body. Hence, consuming high concentrations of Wakame can indeed help slow the aging process down.

This is not idle speculation - there has been a huge amount of research done on Wakame; many scientists have studied the effects of a Wakame diet on the human body. The results of these studies show that consuming lots of Wakame results in better health and a longer lifespan.

Many companies have tuned into the benefits of Wakame and are now releasing Wakame kelp supplements. These supplements can be Wakame pills, Wakame extract, or other processed forms of Wakame. Taking a few Wakame pills a day will give you much more energy and slow the effects of aging.
