Mariah Carey Loses 30 Pounds In 30 Days On Jenny Craig

Most moms suffer from some sort of stubborn post-pregnancy weight that just won't budge.  It is good to see stars like Mariah Carey who saw that she needed help in her battle of the post-pregnancy belly fat loss.  According to ABC News, Mariah Carey said she lost a lot of weight right after she delivered the twins.  She said she gained a lot of water, so she had a great deal of water retention. Most of the weight most pregnant women gain should shed within the first few months after delivery. 

So How Did Mariah Carey Lost That Last 30 lbs in 3 Months?

According to ABC News, she joined Jenny Craig, kept her calorie restricted to 15oo calories daily and exercised a few times a week.  This is great news for those who are struggling with weight loss.  Granted, Mariah Carey has money so she can afford to have someone take care of her children while she gets herself back into shape.  Let's face it, this is not the case for most women who have babies.  They are exhausted from giving birth, and exhausted from not getting any sleep. 

However, it does offer some hope that you can lose that post pregnancy belly fat when you are ready to do it with the same combination.  Joining Jenny Craig may be cost prohibitive to many people but you can still control your calories, and exercise in order to lose the weight and get back in shape.

A Word Of Caution

If you are breastfeeding, it is important that you do not try to restrict your calories because your body needs all the nourishment you can get for both yourself and the baby.  Breastfeeding mothers are usually cautioned by their doctors to eat well and continue to take your pre-natal vitamins.  If you do not get enough nutrition while breastfeeding it can cause all sorts of problems in the body including loose teeth and tooth decay.  It is best that you wait until after breastfeeding to engage in any form of calorie restriction and speak to your doctor when you are ready to do so.

There are many options in terms of weight loss programs.  You can look into joining Jenny Craig like Mariah Carey did or you can try other weight loss books and programs that may help you, fit into your budget and be equally effective in helping you lose that post pregnancy belly fat.
