Jesus Wasn't a Good Man

By Edited Aug 14, 2015 0 0

Psycho liar or Savior?

Perhaps someone has said to you, "Jesus was a good man but..." and then they began to expound on all the reasons He couldn't possibly be the Savior. Here's the thing though, Jesus wasn't a good man! I know that statement might be a little shocking to some people, but the Truth is the Truth no matter how you look at it.

In order to really understand what I am trying to say here, we need to take a look at some of the things that Jesus said. When asked by the high priest, “Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?” Mark 14: 61-62 records, “I am,” said Jesus. “And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.” Jesus claimed to be the Son of the Blessed One, or in other terminology, the Son of God. If He isn’t the Savior, then He is a liar and by all common sense deduction, liars aren’t good people.

The Scriptures tell us that Jesus healed people. Perhaps one verse to take note of here is in Luke 5:24, “But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins..." He said to the paralyzed man, "I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home." Who but God, Himself, has the authority to forgive people of their sins? If Jesus was not the Christ, the Messiah we have all been designed to search for, then this comment is nothing but narcissistic mental instability.

Indeed, His own family thought He was crazy, just read Mark 3:20-21, “Then Jesus entered a house, and again a crowd gathered, so that he and his disciples were not even able to eat. When his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.” I suspect that most people would not categorize a mentally ill person as “good.”

So, either Jesus was a psycho liar, or He was indeed Who He claimed to be, “The Way, the Truth and the Life…” (John 14:6). Thusly we must read the rest of that verse and accept it into our own Spiritual schemas, “No one comes to the Father except through me.” Jesus was certainly not a “good” man; He was and is the King of Kings, Lord of Lords and the Sacrificial Lamb who came to earth to redeem fallen man, period!

He leads me beside still waters...
