Jimmy Dean Sausage

Jimmy Dean Sausage Isn't Just for Breakfast

Jimmy Dean sausage products cover a whole spectrum of breakfast goodies. These goodies make having breakfast with the family a great way to start the day. Remember, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. My family also enjoys these Jimmy Dean sausage breakfast treats at other times of the day: lunch, snacks, and dinner. Jimmy Dean sausage patties make a delicious lunch sandwich, and nothing is more delicious than a 'full breakfast meal,' served for dinner, when everyone has time to sit down to enjoy good food and family.

Typically, when writing a product review, I will list pros and cons about the product. In this instance, I saw no need for it, since I would not purchase something to eat that had any cons.

Jimmy Dean sausage provides my family with a product that tastes good, they like it, and that is fairly priced. Some of the Jimmy Dean sausage products that my family enjoys are:

Jimmy Dean Sausage - Premium Pork Regular Roll

The 16-ounce size roll of Jimmy Dean sausage is versatile; it can be used as breakfast meat or as the meat in a casserole recipe. Use the premium pork regular roll to make a breakfast casserole, or use it to make a quiche; both of these are delicious, and they can be served for breakfast or for dinner. Another favorite way to prepare this Jimmy Dean sausage is to scramble it up while frying, drain off any excess grease, and use the pan drippings to make gravy. Serve this yummy gravy over biscuits or over halved baked potatoes; this is good for breakfast or for a quick dinner.

Jimmy Dean Sausage Pasta

Jimmy Dean Sausage - Premium Pork Italian Roll

The Premium Port Italian Roll is perfect to use in Italian recipes. Stop spending your hard earned dollars on ground beef; instead, use the more economical Jimmy Dean sausage Italian flavor that comes in the roll. This will give a 'WOW' to your Italian recipes, and it will save you money, too. For a quick pasta dish, fry and scramble one roll of Jimmy Dean sausage, Italian flavor. When the meat is done, remove any grease from the pan, and pour in your favorite bottled spaghetti sauce. While the meat and the sauce are heating, cook your favorite pasta. Another quick and easy entrée that will get you in and out of the kitchen in a hurry, and best of all, it is good.

Jimmy Dean Sausage Turkey Links

These scrumptious turkey links come fully cooked and packaged in plastic. Simply remove the number you need, and pop them into the microwave. Boil eggs ahead of time, and have them already peeled in the refrigerator. Pronto - breakfast is ready - it can be just that fast. So, why go out to a fast food restaurant for breakfast when you can have a healthy and economical one at home? Or, how about cooking a few extra Jimmy Dean Sausage Turkey Links to use to make a sandwich for lunch? I make my turkey link sandwich with a slice of cheese on it. A fun dish for the kids is to use these to make toad-in-the-hole; it is a great way to get them to eat a nutritious meal. I purchase my Jimmy Dean Sausage Turkey Links in a large package at my local BJ's, and I save on the price. They are in the refrigerated case when you purchase them, but they can be frozen.

Jimmy Dean Sausage Biscuits

Jimmy Dean Sausage Biscuits Snack Size

I buy these in a large box from Sam's Club, containing 18 double packs equaling 36 snack size biscuits. They are frozen, and they are very convenient to just grab, rewrap in a paper towel, and microwave, making these Jimmy Dean Sausage Biscuits Snack Size super easy to use. Another idea for a quick meal is to use the Jimmy Dean Sausage Biscuits as the meat for dinner, and build a plate around them. Think macaroni and cheese, another favorite side dish, and dinner for the family is ready for the table. Since these come frozen, you can have them on hand for a great anytime snack or meal.

Jimmy Dean Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Croissant Sandwiches

These croissant sandwiches are large enough to keep you from getting hungry before lunchtime. You can find these in the freezer case at your grocery store, and must be defrosted before microwaving. The Jimmy Dean sausage croissant sandwiches can either be moved to the refrigerator the night before, to defrost, or they can be defrosted in the microwave before cooking. They work better for me when I defrost them in the refrigerator overnight - my problem is remembering to place them in the refrigerator the night before. They are good, and they are well worth the extra step. Warning: Do not defrost on the countertop.

Jimmy Dean Sausage Crumbles

Using the fully cooked crumbles will save you time because you do not need to do the cooking; it has already been done for you. One package of the Jimmy Dean sausage crumbles is equal to a one-pound roll package. So, it can easily be used in any recipe that you would use a roll of Jimmy Dean sausage in. This product is great for making pizzas, burritos, quesadillas, omelets, etc. Just mark the date opened on the package, so you can use it in seven days, or freeze any that's left.

In Closing

These are my family's favorite Jimmy Dean sausage products, but they offer so many other products that I have not even tried. And if you are dieting, Jimmy Dean sausage offers a variety of "D-Lights" products that will help you to start your day off with a low calorie, yet tasty, breakfast. Look on their website for discount tickets. As of this writing, there are two available, and I printed both of them to purchase some more of the Jimmy Dean sausage products that my family enjoys so much.
