Juice Your Produce Instead Of Buying Storebought Juice

There is a sad truth to the fruit juice we buy in grocery stores. One would think that it would be good for your health to drink fruit juice, especially when compared to sodas and other sugary drinks. In fact, when you look at the nutritional table of contents, you see zero fat and 100% vitamin C. So what is wrong with it?

Let's start with apple juice, which is very commonly found in grocery stores (and my favorite!) We have all heard the saying that an apple a day keeps the doctor away. This phrase was also the reason why many would think that apple juice is beneficial to your health. However, what you don't realize is that the apple juice is completely stripped of most of its natural phytonutrients.

These phytonutrients are very sensitive. In fact, some of them will start to decay away once the fruit is exposed to the air, known as oxidation. Also, most of the other nutrients do not last long to hot temperatures. Unfortunately, this is what happens to the apples when factories process the apple juice. The reason the juice we buy at supermarkets is so clear is because it has been processed and treated to the point that there is nothing left but sugar water.

Juicing your produce is a very strong alternative to buying premade fruit juice. By juicing your produce, you get a very potent juice that is packed with nutrients found in its raw state. Your juice will also be much more flavorful then ever before. Also, juicing is very versatile, as you can juice almost any produce you want and make any kind of juice you could ever dream of!
