Juicer Recipes

By | Mar 15, 2010 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

Everything you eat greatly affects your body and fruits and vegetables are no exception to this rule. Would you eat one piece of fruit every day if you knew that it's a great step towards a more healthy life? It doesn't take too much to actually start eating fruits regularly and a fruit juicer can be a very helpful companion tricking your body into liking eating healthy.

Apparently people love excuses, here are some they come up with on a regular basis, just to avoid fruits:
-They're not in season, it's impossible to buy them
-Fruits and vegetables take ages to prepare, they just don't worth the time.
-Kids don't like it makes it impossible to put them in family dinners.

First of all, basically any supermarket you live next to will have almost every kind of fruits you can think of, regardless of time of year. Tropical fruits are in season all the time and they're cheap too. Juicer recipes are really forgiving, you can basically combine anything with anything and achieve a great result.

Fruits take too much to prepare. Now this might be true, it takes about fifteen seconds to peel an orange and about two seconds to peel a banana. That's some time but not too much. Everything we eat takes some time to prepare and that's just how these things work. If you knew for sure that a fruit bowl will take as much time to prepare as microwaving chicken soup, would you make the former?

Kids eat everything you give them. It's a neat trick from nature, it ensures survival by making kids only eat what they see their parents eat. This way they stay safe of food that are not good for them. Show good example and start eating fruits and vegetables and they will follow you. It's that simple.

To start out with a few fruits a day project you will need a juicer. You probably already have one under the sink, at least almost everyone has. This is a really simple recipe that can be finished in 5 minutes with all the steps and will produce a fresh fruit juice.

For one serving, you'll need a quarter papaya, an orange, a teaspoon lemon juice and a cup(7-8 oz) of yogurt. You can use any kind of yogurt you like, plain yogurt works, so does vanilla. Peel the papaya and oranges and put them into the juicer. Mix them until you see an evenly distributed pulp.

Add everything else and mix until you see a mostly seamless result. If you find it thick add some cold water and mix some more. You will finish in a few minutes and drinking a juice like this every day will not be a great burden to bear. Kids love juices and you'll find yourself making them juice in no time.

If you want to add healthy diversity into your family meals this is the easiest and a mostly effortless way of doing it. Use your creativity to come up with fruit combinations and extra ingredients, and you will see your health improve over a few weeks as well.
