Keg tap types

There are different keg tap types needed to dispense home draft beer. Do you got a keg of cold brew that you need to dispense? In order to dispense draft beer you'll need a keg tap. Whether you have a kegerator or a keg, you need a keg tap to dispense draft beer. There are variety of different keg tap types needed to dispense beer. Keg taps aren't too expensive, depending on the type. The US coupler keg tap is the most commonly used, and usually won't cost you more than $30 at most places. Other keg tap types cost more money. There are six different keg tap types on the market. The US sankey keg coupler, European sankey keg coupler, German Beer keg tap coupler, M System beer keg coupler, Bass Ale Keg coupler, and Guinness keg coupler.

Keg tap types for kegerators and kegs are different. Kegerators require keg pump taps to dispenser beer. Pumps contain oxygen used to carbonate home draft beers. Keg pumps usually just last a few days, not nearly as long as a full CO2 tank in kegerators that keeps beer fresh up to 30 days. US coupler keg tap - D system

The US coupler keg tap types are the most widely used to dispenser domestic American draft beer. It will dispense 95% of all American beers. European keg tap - System S


European keg taps are a little different and more expensive than the US coupler keg tap. All European keg tap types will dispense beer kegs with system S valves. It's very similar to the US sankey keg coupler except the stem is 1/4 an inch longer than the US coupler. It's easy to find the European keg tap coupler online at places like amazon, ebay, kegworks, beverage factory, buy.com, and barbackers.com. Features a nickel plating like the US for protection.

One of the more expensive keg tap types on the market, that can go as high as $100.00. The M system beer is one of the newest keg tap types on the market. The body is similar to the german coupler, but the probe is different. Fits system M keg valves. Kegworks, ebay, beersodasports.com, and buy.com sell the M system coupler online. German keg tap - A system


Two different keg tap types will fit german beers. Most german beers require the A system to dispense, except Beck's and St. Pauli Girl which requires the European sankey coupler. It will fit all A system keg valves. The german keg tap can be bought online at kegworks, amazon, and ebay. Prices go between $52-$62. It's a little harder to find online.
