Kidney disease risks - Reducing kidney problems

Kidney disease risks tend to happen from poor health. Those 50 years and older are at risk for kidney disease and kidney problems. Kidney problems are easily noticeable. You can usually notice by change in urination. Urinating can become painful, with a burning sensation. A change of color in urine, even blood can be signs of kidney problems.


Those with that suffer from kidney stones will experience sever pain. You'll suffer severe pain in the ribs or side of the back. Urine changes a different color. Small hard deposits appear in the kidney. Not drinking enough water and getting enough calcium into your diet can lead to kidney stones. Also a high amount of sodium in ones diet lead to kidney problems.

Those who don't get enough water into their diet in general, they're at risk for kidney disease. Water helps flush out substances in the body. Drinking water can help lower cholesterol, lower high blood pressure, and provide better health overall. You should drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Those who've suffered from kidney problems in the past, should definitely get more water into their system.

Kidney disease can sometimes run in the family, or be contributed to being overweight. You'll need to workout more, if you're overweight. Get into better shape physically. Getting exercise can reduce chronic kidney diseases and reduce death rates.

You want to watch your intake of potassium. Too much potassium in your diet can lead to kidney problems. Potassium is found in quite a bit of foods. Your doctor will be able to tell you if you have too much potassium in your diet. They'll likely recommend diets that reduce the amount of potassium you're getting.

Eating overall a healthier diet can help reduce kidney disease. You should get more omega-3 into your diet. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Even take health supplements to help improve your health. Discuss any health supplements with your doctor, if you're on any prescribed medications. Food containing good amount of fiber and folic acid can help promote healthy kidney function.

Complex carbs can help reduce kidney disease. You want to limit the saturated fats that you eat in your diet as well. A lot of saturated and trans fats can contribute to poor kidney health. Taking vitamin E oil as a supplement. Vitamin E helps reduce high blood pressure, which leads to kidney problems. A good diet of vitamins and minerals help prevent kidney diseases.

If you're feeling any symptoms, you should talk to your doctor. Kidney disease symptoms, or problems can be itching of the legs, abdominal pain, blood in urine, pain when you urine, and swelling of the legs.
