It is important that the nozzles, hoses and regulators have compatibility with the indoor propane heater. It's better to utilize the components of the same maker, to ensure safety and to reduce chances of leakage or damage. If leakage persists in spite of this precaution the heater should be turned off immediately without losing time.

Avoid the presence of open flames in the vicinity of the gas tank. It will be better if the indoor propane heater is equipped with a sensor to alert you of the leakage by a glowing pilot lamp. Cleaning the propane heater with soap and warm water will help detect any leakage, and the cylinder may be replaced if necessary. The use of inflammable or corrosive solvents for cleaning the indoor propane heaters should be avoided.
