When the first Star Wars movie came to the big screen in 1977 and became an overnight phenomenon, it brought with it a parade of merchandise that became an instant hit. The response was sudden and unexpected which created a scramble to meet the demand for Star Wars toys. Ever since then, Star Wars toys, especially the LEGO Star Wars figures, have been a hit and true fans have been seriously collecting them.

One of the most popular Star Wars toys have been LEGO Star Wars figures. Those that collect Star Wars mini figures even have ways of tracking them so that they make sure that they have everyone. They also need to keep track of the ones that they do not have yet.

The first Star Wars series was introduced in 1999 with more being added every year since. The first Star Wars LEGO bricks were figures and vehicles from the trilogy. There have since been new ones introduced for the prequel trilogy.

The characters are still in the classic LEGO shapes, just a few alterations have been added to make them look like Star Wars characters. Some, though, have special molds that the company uses to make their head shapes and sizes. The Darth Vader LEGO figure, for example, has a unique mold. The figures also have light sabers.

The Star Wars LEGO sets also include the star ships and other vehicles. There is the Millennium Falcon, the Imperial AT-ST, speeders and many more. Some of these sets have a lot of pieces that you need in order to make them. The Millennium Falcon has more than five thousand pieces. This makes it the largest LEGO set ever made!

Because these figures are so popular they have even made LEGO Star Wars video games for fans. They are the first LEGO video games and many more have followed in its footsteps to portray other movies, such as Harry Potter. There are currently two LEGO Star Wars video games. One is based on the original trilogy; the other is based on the prequel trilogy.

If you are a diehard fan, then you most likely have the LEGO Star Wars figures already. If you are a new fan then and are looking for them, then you should try the internet. This is your best bet since the stores normally run out of them quickly. They are always in demand and a lot of time they are very hard to find. Every true fan needs to own them though.
