Full Review

The LUSH You've Been Mangoed Bath Melt is created from mango butter, avocado butter and lemon, lime and almond oils. This bath melt smells like a sweet mango confection and I think it is very similar to the Each Peach and Two's a Pair massage bar which is also made by LUSH.

I tried using half of the bath melt in my tub to preserve some for later but you really need to use the whole thing. That was a little disappointing because each bath melt costs just under $6.00 so they can really add up. These melts give the water a wonderful scent and soften and moisturize your skin.

While bath melts are great for soft skin, they don't create bubbles and I enjoy having bubbles in my baths. So, I combined one of the melts with half of a gold star bubble bar also from LUSH. This is the main problem I have with bath melts, they are nice but in order to get a really relaxing bath experience, you have to add other products which can add up to an incredibly expensive bath.

I do love the smell though and my skin felt wonderful. The mango bath melt dissolved quickly and easily under running water and it did not leave behind any type of residue on my tub. Sometimes moisturizers designed for use in the bathtub will leave a ring behind or greasy residue so that was a nice surprise.

The scent lingers on your skin for hours as well. I bathed in the evening and could still smell the mango melt on my skin the next morning.

In Closing

You've been Mangoed bath melt smells wonderful but it just doesn't seem like it's worth the price to me. I would love to receive one as a gift or perhaps purchase one to use before a big night out but it doesn't seem practical for day to day use.
