Las Vegas: 38 Million Visitors & Counting.

By | Feb 10, 2012 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

Las Vegas has always been a hot-spot, but never as much as it was last year. In 2011, the destination
attracted 38.9 million visitors, the second highest visitor total in all of Vegas history.

Obviously the current economic state of our nation hasn’t affected the gambling habits of those visitors, with casino winnings up two percent in December alone. Las Vegas, known for its leniency when it comes to its all-night drinking and gambling, offers much more to its visitors than just casinos, slot machines, and high-stakes poker.

For those uninterested in risking it all on the casino floors, Las Vegas clubs are hot-spots for the young and the beautiful; those who don’t mind staying out all night and sleeping all day. With over forty nightclubs operating in the city, and even more bars and strip clubs, Las Vegas clubs are the perfect destination for bachelor and bachelorette parties, or a quick getaway for those looking to let their hair down after a stressful work-week.

While most Las Vegas clubs are 21+, some allow those as young as eighteen to enter during specific
days or events. Another thing to keep in mind is that most charge a cover; often ranging between $10-30, but sometimes exceeding $100 on holidays and club grand openings. Although most clubs charge cover fees, it is not uncommon for certain Vegas demographics, like young women in their 20s, to get free passes and entry to many clubs in Vegas. Most Las Vegas clubs are conveniently located within walking distance of each other in hotels along the strip, so visiting Las Vegas clubs without a car is never an issue.

For those uninterested in clubs, there are a variety of other nightlife options to choose from. Since the first casino was licensed in 1931, live shows and entertainment have been steadily growing in popularity throughout Vegas. Having its roots in the days of the notorious “Rat Pack”, todays live entertainment includes comedy acts, like Carrot Top, and intricate and elaborate circus-like shows, like the Cirque du Soleil.

So, whether you’re interested in checking out the hottest Las Vegas clubs, gambling your life savings away in the hopes of winning the jackpot, or attending a concert, show, or live event, Las Vegas is an ideal destination for those just looking to let loose and have fun.
