Laser Hair Transplant
People have been going bald for centuries now. Throughout the ages, our bodies have lost more and more hair. In the modern age, we are happy not to have hairs on our bodies, but we are happy to have hair on our heads. Everybody has a nice head of hair in the first decade or two of their life, but after that you run the risk of losing it. Most people have a serious problem with this because it greatly impacts their cosmetic appearance. The younger a person is when hair loss strikes, the greater the impact on the person's psyche. Understandably so, ofcourse.
The market for hair loss prevention and hair regrowth market is huge. There are many products and services available to us in order to combat hair loss. Think about topicals such as Aminexil and Minoxidil. Many people use these topicals because they have proven to combat hair loss and even regrow some lost hair as long as you use it. These results are only temporary. They last as long as you keep using them. The same goes for the drugs finasteride and dutasteride. These drugs have proven to slow down hair loss significantly, making thinning hairs thicker while doing so. As long as you keep taking these drugs, you are interfering with your body's natural balding mechanism, effectively sabotaging the balding hormone DHT to prevent hair loss. Stopping the intake will cause you to start losing your hair again 3 months later.
Laser Hair Transplant
Thanks to laser hair transplant surgery, there is now a way of getting some hair back in areas where you are thinning. With a laser hair transplant, a laser is used to precisely create a great number of recipient areas where your donor hairs are to be transplanted. Thanks to the use of a robotically controlled laser, this can be done so precisely and the wounds will be so tiny, that your recipient scalp wounds will heal in a matter of days. And they do so without leaving any marks that are visible to the naked eye.
With a modern laser hair transplant, you donate a strip of DHT resistant hair from the back of your head. These hairs will be transplanted back into your scalp later on. The strip of hair is dissected into grafts. While dissecting the grafts, the naturally occurring groups of 1, 2, 3 and 4 hairs are preserved. This method is now the standard and is called follicular unit transplant or FUT.
Because of this method, the results that are achieved with today's hair transplants are very natural. In the past, your grafts may have contained as much as 12 hairs. This always gave a very bulky effect.
Don't ever get a non FUT hair transplant. The FUT method's results are far superior to the old methods. If you want to see some pictures of successful treatments, check out these celebrity hair implants.
