Last Minute Appetizers

That party is just hours away, and you just found out that your guest have invited a few more guest to join them. After all of the endless hours of preparation for that perfect event and you are going to come up short on the menu. Now you have to think of some last minute appetizers to save the evening. Besides, this was supposed to be your time to pamper yourself, and get ready for the night. Here are some quick last minute appetizers that are extremely simple and quick.

Chicken Bites

Cut up non- boned chicken pieces into about 20 pieces

7 slices of bacon cut up into thirds

1/4 cup of maple syrup

1/4 cup of horseradish

Preheat oven to broil. Wrap each piece of chicken with bacon piece and secure with a toothpick. Dip down into horseradish and syrup mixture and place on a baking sheet. Broil for 3 minutes and remove. Let cool before serving.

Chicken Lettuce Wraps

1 roasted chicken

1/3 cup of mayonnaise

1 teaspoon of Soul Seasoning

1 head of lettuce

Shred the roasted chicken. Mix Mayonnaise and Soul Seasoning together. Separate lettuce leaves and set aside. Mix chicken with mayonnaise. Add a couple of spoonfuls to each piece of lettuce and wrap.

Ham Rolls

1 package of honey ham

1 package of Swiss cheese

1 package of crescent rolls

1 jar of Grey Poupon mustard

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Roll out crescent roll mix. Pinch together two triangles to form a rectangle times four. Add some mustard to the top of this. Add a slice of Swiss cheese and a slice of ham to each roll. Roll it into a jelly roll and slice into 4 or 5 pieces. Place on a nonstick cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown. This is a fantastic last minute appetizer that they will love to eat.

Vodka Balls

2 tablespoons of Vodka

1/2 cup of Blue Cheese

1/2 of cream cheese

1 tbsp. fresh chopped parsley

Pinch of black ground pepper

1/2 cup of sesame seeds

1/3 cup of Walnuts

Grind walnuts and roasted sesame seeds together and set aside. Cream together blue cheese, cream cheese, parsley, vodka, and black pepper. Shape into miniature balls and roll into nut mixture. Pierce with a toothpick and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Pecan Pretzels

1 bag of whole pecans

1 bag of rectangular shaped pretzels

1 bag of Roll-0's

Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Lay pretzels out on a baking sheet and place a Roll-0 on top. Let it bake until it just begins to melt. Take it out of the oven and push a whole pecan down into the surface of each the pretzels. These are last minute appetizers in a snap.

This are fantastic last minute appetizers that are quick and easy to make. Your guest will never know that they are so easily prepared. They should take care of any unexpected guest that may grace your doorstep tonight.
