Last Minute Australia Vacations - You Last Minute Checklist

By | 0 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

There are many advantages and disadvantages to booking a last minute Australia vacation. Last minute vacations may be fun for some, but for others it can be very stressful. Having to reserve flights, hotels and activities in the spur of the moment can sometimes be difficult.

Here are some great tips to help you plan for your last minute vacation, and to make sure you don't forget anything.

1. If you receive a daily newspaper publication, then you may want to think about having it canceled, unless you have someone who can stop by and pick up your newspaper. Otherwise you're going to end up with a lot of papers to clean up when you get back.

2. If you have a satellite television then you can save some money by having it canceled temporarily while you're away. Some companies will give refunds for the days that the satellite has been canceled for.

3. It is important to make a checklist of all the belongings that you need to bring with you. You certainly don't want your last minute vacations to Australia to turn into a nightmare because you may have forgotten something important such as any important documents or passport that you need to bring you.

4. Apply for a passport now and try to get it processed as quickly as possible. However, most people don't need a passport when traveling for a vacation to Australia. If you plan to be there for longer than a 3 month period, then a Visa passport is needed.

5. Try to find out as much as you can about the area in which you're planning your last minute Australia vacation. Get the most information possible, this way you know if there are any health concerns in the area, problems with food, and so on.

6. Light Timers for your home – This really is a fantastic idea. You can get light timers to turn lights on automatically in your home. This can be so wonderful if you're gone for a long time. It could scare of potential burglars.

7. Bring Activities – For the flight. It is a long flight, and if you have children then keeping them busy will be very important. You will want to make sure they don't bother the other passengers. 12 hours is a very long time for anyone, especially the little ones with short attention spans. You may also want to bring along some snacks. Finger foods are another great way to keep the little hands busy while traveling.

8. Take care of the pets – Of course people rarely forget about their pets. There are a lot of veterinarians and shelters that will take pets in while their owners are on vacation. You may want to make sure that your pet will be comfortable and you who it is you're leaving your pet with. Or you can arrange to have friends over to take care of the dog, just ensure that the people you select are reliable and will take good care of pooch while you're away.
