Do you want to learn how to be happy? Happiness is something that almost everyone is striving for, but few understand how to achieve. Many people believe that the only way to be happy is to buy a new car or win the lottery. These people don’t understand that happiness isn’t something you get in the future, but something you create in the present. In fact, happiness has little to do with material things and a lot to do with your thinking, because what you think determines what you feel. And happiness is a feeling, a state of mind.

You are the only one who can choose what to think, and you are therefore responsible for your own happiness (read that again!). So if happiness has a lot to do with thinking, and you are the only one who can choose what to think... How can you think more positive thoughts so you can be happy? Let’s find out.
Learn how to wake up happy. You can actually learn to wake up happy by developing different kinds of morning routines. These routines will help you shift your thinking and focus to positive thoughts and things. Positive thought attract more positive thoughts (something we learned from the Secret) and that creates a momentum that will most likely affect the rest of your day, in a good way!
Do the things you love. By doing the things you love you automatically put yourself in a place of positive thoughts. Likewise, if you do something you don’t like to do or even hate, it’s almost impossible not to think negative thoughts (negative thoughts = feeling bad). Find your passion and do more of the things you truly enjoy to do.
Ask the right types of questions. You may not realize it but you ask yourself questions all the time, “What time is it?” “Do I look good in these jeans?” “Why does everything bad happen to me” etc. You have to realize that all the questions you ask yourself your mind will answer. So if you ask yourself why all the bad thing keep happening to you, your mind will come up with all kinds of answers why bad things happen to you.
By asking yourself good questions like “What am I happy and excited about in my life right now?” and “Why does all the good and fun things happen to me?” you will come up with positive answers that will make you happy now.
Smile! Happiness has a lot to do with thinking but it also has to do with your physiology. If you were depressed right now, how would your body language be like? Try! Head down, no smile, hanging shoulder, right? etc. Did you notice that your mood actually changed when your body language changed? You probably started to feel depressed just by changing your physiology! Now try this: Feel depressed and smile at the same time... it’s impossible!
It’s 100% normal to be sad or angry sometimes but it’s also great to know how you can become happy again. So anytime you catch yourself thinking negative thoughts or feeling bad for to long, remember what you learned in this article, or come back to it and read it again.
