Is your computer going through slow times? Does it not run as fast as it used to? Do you fear your personal information may have been stolen from your hard drive? Could you be at risk every time you enter your account information on your computer? If these are your fears, you may have a big problem. You may have malicious programs called spyware or malware infesting your computer. If you do have malware, then how do you remove it? Here are some tips on how to uninstall malware and keep your computer safe.

What exactly is malware? They are malicious software programs that circulate through the internet more and more frequently with each passing year. They can cause your computer to move sluggishly by using up all of your processing speed to run each individual program. They can also steal information from you that can cause you to lose your identity. They can access your email accounts, credit card information, or anything else you have in your computer.

Certainly you would never install such a program knowingly. However, they often come disguised as innocent links that you click without realizing what you're doing. Malware is very much a threat, and if you have it on your computer, it should be removed as soon as possible!

The most important thing to do in order to uninstall malware is to obtain an anti virus and spyware removal program. You can use this to identify malware and then remove it. Make sure your software is up to date so it can identify the most recent malware.

These viruses can infest your computer's operating system files and can be hard to remove without a virus scanner and spyware removal software. The program should let you know where it found the virus, what sort of harm it can do, and then prompt you to remove it.

An anti virus program might not get everything, however, particularly if the malware program is dormant and hiding. The next step for getting rid of these malicious programs is to check your computer for programs you never installed. If they installed themselves they are probably some sort of malware. Remove these programs and you will be much better off. They can slow your computer down and are usually there to cause annoying pop ups to appear or other forms of advertising. If you notice that some strange programs are running then stop their processes immediately. There is no telling what they are doing.

Step number three is to get rid of any temporary files on your computer. Though these may not all be malware, temporary files are a place that malware frequently tries to hide in. Just clean out these files in both your internet temporary folders and the ones for your computer. Be sure to empty your trash bin afterwards.

That is the basic information you need to know in order to uninstall malware. Use an anti virus program to get rid of most of the problem. Then go through your system and remove any suspicious programs and temporary files. It's crucial that you remove these programs, so don't wait to do it!
